Liked: Good location - quiet so you can get some sleep, but easily reached on the tram or night bus from town in about 10-15mins. Walkable too actually. Also VERY handy for the Zoo and Botanical Gardens and a couple of nice coffeeshops - Overkant Hortus and Het Ballonjete - are just around the corner, as are a few cafes and bars. Mainly a residential area, though.Reasonable prices for clean, private rooms. Beds weren't that comfy, but average I suppose. Table, chairs and TV in all rooms are also great for socialising. Bit weird having a shower in the room, but not a toilet - should be the other way around, surely? No real problem, though. Also, you only get two keys to the room, but that generally works out ok. Free towels and sheets were a big help. Beware the VERY steep and narrow stairs, but then again this is par for the course for Amsterdam. Helpful and informative staff, free maps and guides and (paid) internet access are a bonus. In terms of other facilities there's a large lounge with Sky TV, a pool table (1E) and a snack vending machine with cigarettes and 1E beers in - MASSIVE bonus :) Also a nice little courtyard and you can smoke anything there and in the rooms - much appreciated. Breakfast was ok - fried eggs, bread and spreads - would have been nice to have ham/cheese/cereal like in other places but it does the job first thing. There's a fridge, microwave and crockery/cutlery for you to have your own meals too. Free hot drinks from 8am-11pm (the times at least one member of staff is around) were very welcome as well.I would certainly recommend staying here, but a couple of tips: 1. don't arrive after 11pm (you can't, basically), 2. don't lose your key, because you won't be able to get in at night at all, 3. don't expect a huge party atmostphere, but it is a sociable place.All in all, this is a good all-round hostel which offers good value for money. I'd definitely stay here again.

Liked: El hotel estaba bien situado y se podía ir a todos sitios andando, prácticamente. El desayuno estaba incluido y bastante bien servido, con huevos fritos incluso.
