Liked: Host Dennis was personable and very helpful. The atmosphere was very friendly and relaxed. Really liked the view over the garden Hortus Botanicus.

Liked: The rooms were nice and clean and spacious, and they had a complimentary breakfast including eggs and toast! I didn't find that at most of the hotels I stayed at in Europe. The only problem we had was that our flight to Amsterdam was delayed an hour, and by the time we got there he had given our room away! Luckily he had another one for us, but moral: if you're going to be even a LITTLE late, call!

Liked: Staff were great. We stayed in one of the 5 bed rooms and found it did the job. A little out of the way but there is a tram stop very close and taxi's are always available.

Liked: it was in the center of amsterdam and you can make most of your ways by walking. directly the front of the hostel is the hortus garden, which is pretty wonderful. you get a good breakfast und all the people which work in the hostel were friendly and helpfully.
