Disliked: We have to pass to another building through a passage on the third floor and then go down to our floor, and this was not very nice.

Liked: The bed was not bad and the room was very warm (compared to outside it felt fantastic).

Disliked: The customer service, the deceptive service, the price, there were no rugs in the bathrooms so the floor was always wet. The backdoor and gate were constantly accessible and not patrolled. Almost all of the lockers were broken or nonfunctioning. The location was outside of town quite a bit, a bike is definitely preferable it not necessary.

Liked: The staff was friendly, and the bed okay, but that there is meldew in the bathroom.

Disliked: The really disgusting and bad smelling meldew all over the ceiling in the bathroom. Its like in an horrormovie. The 4 bed room hostelroom is really tiny like the other described, the "TV" is a joke, maybe the normal private beds are okay but DONT stay at the hostelrooms. I read the reviews after I booked, which was a mistake. Everything is true what the other say. Despite nobody saw the meldew maybe, but you just have the look up...disgusting!!!!! And I paided 40euro a night! :(

Liked: nice staff and near to supermarket and public transportation. 15 minutes to the cental station by bus.

Disliked: there was only one bathroom for one 10-bed room and 3-bed room together.

Liked: was close to a good supermarket and a moaz.

Disliked: was waaaaay to expensive, almost double price of any hostel i have stayed in. only stayed there as it was the only place with room. not a social place at all, i was travelling alone, and i very much stayed alone for my time at hotel linda do not go here, book in advance!

Disliked: Rooms were small as a burial case. Lİft wasn't working. Staff wasn't helpful and they asked for money for every little thing.

Disliked: it was dirrty in the bathroom. we told the staff and they argued with us, and got very confrontational. They were rude and not helpful.

Liked: The location is the best thing about Hotel Linda. It's situated inbetween an Albert Hein Supermarket and a Lidl, which means any food you buy is cheap! The Hotel is on the outskirts of the tourist sites which means you can get lost in the real part of Amsterdam.

Disliked: The staff can sometimes be hard to speak to, unenthusiastic and sometimes slightly rude.

Liked: Nothing in particular, location was quite convenient.

Disliked: Upon arrival, we were impressed by the hotel's decor and the lobby was extremely nice. We couldn't find our room at first because the cheapest rooms offered on hostelbookers are located in the basement, only found by a steep staircase rather than the lift. As two young travellers, we weren't bothered but as soon as we entered our room, it reminded us of a ship's cabin similar to the storage rooms in the Titanic. There was pubic hair on the sheets, the shower was in the room without any dividing wall, the TV didn't work and there were no railings on the bunkbed so I had to sleep with my backpack for fear of falling off. Aside from the little space, the window provided was the size of a cat flap. My best friend suffers from asthma so for the entirety of the stay, she found it difficult to breathe. The man at reception didn't know anything about the attractions in Amsterdam and lied to us when we asked about the pub crawl. So not worth the 22 euros, although advertised as a hostel it is definitely not! We booked a 8 bed dormitory but we were given a 2 bed cabin. Not a hostel. Didn't meet anyone! For your own good do not stay here!!

Liked: not much, the location was okay, it was simple to get to town on foot albeit a longish walk, however trams were quick and simple to use.

Disliked: wifi was expensive, furnishings in the room were in a poor state of repair. bad ventilation in the room meant it got quite hot. lockers were very cheap and not very secure and the guy at reception didnt know which key was which he just offered us a blank key and said test all the lockers until you find your own.

Disliked: The room was quite dirty and the location was't that good during the night it is quite hard to get there on foot or by bus.

Liked: The location was good for my interests.

Disliked: There is no sleep to be had at this hostel. Granted I am an older hosteller but this place goes beyond ridiculous. From 10pm up to 7am there is constant shouting, smoking and talking and that was outside of my room. Amsterdam is a young travellers city and they seem to travel in packs so when they are out partying all night, the party is not over when they get back to the hostel. I moved up to the hotel after the second night in the hostel hoping for some peace, but the hotel at nearly 3 times the price on the weekends had just as much noise. The guys in the room next to me came in around 3am and proceeded to tear up the room. I notified the front desk who had to threaten police action for these guys to settle down - an hour later. Do not stay here if want to sleep because unless you are stone cold blacked out from alcohol, you will not get any.

Liked: The rooms were in a separate building and so the atmosphere was largely quiet and trustworthy.

Disliked: The furnishing were dated and worn, and some rooms seemed ill fitted to the size of beds, etc.
