Liked: The location was great (lots of shop/pubs on the doorstep), staff were easy to talk to and helpful and the room size was pretty good considering there were 5 of us.

Disliked: A little run down, LOTS of steep stairs, we were a little overcharged and on the last night we discovered there may have been mice in our room which made it difficult to sleep!

Liked: Cheap, especially for Amsterdam. The rooms are no Ritz, but they were clean, the hotel has staff 24/7 who are very friendly and helpful. Great for a weekend where seeing Amsterdam, not the hotel, is your priority

Disliked: It felt a little sketchy at first, but we got over it.

Liked: the location was pretty good, staff were friendly, although they offered us a coffee and then later on charged us for them, bar/common area was pretty nice

Disliked: internet was non existant, we booked a private room and received a 5 bed dorm room, we waited to check in for 7 hours to check in because they had to clean it and when we got into the room there was empty bottles and food wrapping in there, the toilet flush was broken, there was mold in the shower everywhere, cigarette ash on the window sill, very noisy as there is a night club underneath the rooms, brekkie is not free!

Liked: Great location, good price, very nice and helpful staff. Room had his own bathroom as said on the website (ensuite), tram station right outside the hostel, many coffee shops, bars, restaurants and places to go near the hostel. Great place! I'll recommend it to everyone who goes to Amsterdam :-)

Disliked: it's not really a dislike... It's kind of obvious that the room will have thin walls and you can hear other guests, but theres no reason for you to try and sleep... You should be the one doing all the noise!!! :-D

Liked: Good shower in the room, and great price and location for night life.

Disliked: Our reservation had not gone through, but the staff managed to sort a room anyway. Many bars outside make the place very noisy.

Liked: La stanza era sporca e fredda, se dovete prenotare chiedete la stanza 5B che era della mia amica, molto pulita, bella e calda, al ultimo piano la stanza era come nella foto, con la differenza che le foto sono state scattate 50 anni fa.

Liked: It is the best location in all Amsterdam in the middle of the best square. That is excellent. The cleanliness is not very good. They don´t serve breakfast and the wirelles internet didn´t work.Anyway what really bothered me was that they recharged me the "deposit tax" (booking tax) when i got there, that was already charged on my credit card. The woman said that the "hostelbookers" do not repass that money to them so she had to charge me again! Plus that, she charged me 10% of the whole amount for the " turist tax" that i really don´t know if exists.

Liked: The rooms weren´t like in the web pictures, they have a not so good bathroom, the heating also weren´t good, and, moreover, the double bed was really bad and they don´t have food, breakfast, and, even, telephone in the room and internet connection! However, the place is really good! Almost the best place to stay in Amsterdam.

Liked: No.1 location! Been there for 10 nights and it was great.Must say that I was little sceptic, because of all negative comments I have read, so I didn't expect to much, but I was surprised (positive).My next stay in Amsterdam will be here again!

Liked: Fantastic location! But we were not impressed that on the first night we arrived, instead of a room for 4 people as was booked, 2 of us had to sleep on matresses on the floor!
