Liked: The location is good (close to the main train station)

Disliked: The price is a little too high for a hostel (and the services it offers) We had some problems with the water (that were actually solved easily) but before actually knowing what is wrong we've been told by the staff to use common showers instead (no discounts, no promises to fix the problem … which was strange to me)

Liked: the breakfast supplied was great. prices were good. very large smoking room inside which is always a bonus. hotel the globe is well priced and offers a greeat short stay.

Disliked: Could not really fault in anything . 1 key given to 8 man room. Even though u leave it behind the reception desk if 1 of ur friends dsnt u might find u cant get in. Which did happene in our case and can be diff to have staff open the door.

Liked: Was really worried we were going to end up somewhere horrible but it was actually really good. Had a smokers room in the back which was open til 5am, right next to everything, staff were really friendly and most importantly NO BED BUGS :)

Disliked: Rooms weren't very big, took a while to get ready but nothing else was wrong with it.

Disliked: We had a private room for 4 pax, not great value for money for the €140 we paid.

Liked: The food was excellent. Beer prices beat most of the bars around. Staff friendly and helpful. Security was a bit of an issue. The room was functional, containing a very good shower and comfortable beds.

Disliked: The 'safe' is actually a set of shelves behind the reception desk. A lot of the doors showed evidence of damage around the locks. Could be a little bit noisy at times.

Liked: Great sports bar with a great smoking room; happy hour was a highlight of every day. Food was pretty good as well.

Liked: The private 5 bed room with en suite we stayed in was basic but clean it did the job for us as we only used the room to sleep of a night.

Disliked: No air con room was very very hot stuffy.

Liked: The location was great because we were close to a lot. Also, the guy at the desk was really friendly and helpful in not only pointing out what to see in Amsterdam but giving great suggestions of how to get to outside cities.

Disliked: My fiance's shorts were stolen when our room was being cleaned. I don't know if it was the staff or someone who grabbed them while our door was open during the cleaning. Either way, it put a damper on the end of our trip.

Liked: Good location. Free safe for passports, etc. Front door locks at night with video entry. Very safe and clean.

Disliked: The staff did their jobs and not much more.

Liked: Great location, nice english breakfast, always sport on tv.

Disliked: Sometimes it can be hard to get tap water from the bar, which is a bit annoying when you have paid to stay there. bought meals there and bought drinks there. There was one member of staff (possibly the landlord) who was more strict about this than others.
