Liked: It is right on the beach. A bar and dinner restaurant are available. Pool and patio seating right on the beach.

Disliked: It's some distance from the city center, but a 20 dirham taxi ride remidies that.

Liked: au bord de la plage, un cybercafé dans l'hotel et des chambres spacieuses et propres.

Disliked: loin du centre ville et de la medina, il faut prendre un taxi a chaque fois pour pouvoir faire les allers et retours. de plus, le paiement de la chambre se fait au port de Tanger dans une agence de voyage MARCO POLO qui donne un voucher avec lequel on peut percevoir la chambre...

Liked: It is a nice hotel, friendly staff and on the beach. Breakfast is basic but ok.

Disliked: This property uses the address of the travel agent where you have to pay to advertise itself as being on the edge of the medina which is isn't even close. It is NOT in Tangier. Do not stay here if you want to stay near the medina, as taxis won't take you to the hotel and back for reasonable prices, they rip you off and to walk to the hotel takes 1.5hours from the port!

Liked: The pool was great because I felt safe away from the stares of local men on the beach. Great views and very relaxing. When my sliding door to my balcony didn't work the handyman was so friendly and helpful when the office staff thought I was being daft.

Disliked: Quite away from the medina and port. But as all I wanted was to chill by the pool it wasn't a problem, and there's not too much to do in Tangier anyway. It's about 10dm or less to get to the medina, but many taxi drivers want to charge far more. So be savvy and insist on using the metre.

Liked: We were right on the water which was amazing and there was a swimming pool too! We has a great time and for the amount we paid we would definitely stay there again.

Disliked: When we laid out in the grass on the chairs the paint stuck to us and when we laid in the grass we were eaten alive by ants. Also, we thought the hostel was close to the airport. But we had to take a taxi which was very cheap, but we didn't expect it.

Liked: Friendly staff at recepcion and willing to help us with questions about good restaurants, the opening hours of shops etc. A change of room (we preferred a room with view to ocean) wasn't a problem. ON the beach ++ Extra points for the safeness: as a blond scandinavian I felt unconfortable getting group of local boys/men standing begind the fence of the pool area and staring -hotel employees saw it and asked them to move..

Disliked: A bit "in the middle of nowhere" -for us it wasn'y a problem as we wanted so, but it was a bit surprising that there were not even small shop (to buy drinks, snacks) close. But taxi is so cheap that it's not a problem even though you don't want to walk -we preferred the 20min walk along the nice beach-boulevard.

Liked: Good beach outside. Decent clean rooms. Nice free breakfast.

Disliked: 4km from Medina. Had to get several taxi rides back and forth to marco Polo office for accomodation voucher (which can be paid for at the hotel. No reservation valid through hostel websites.

Liked: It's a lovely hotel for the price of a hostel. Right on the beach with a pool and sundeck and a massive restaurant/bar with reasonably priced beer (25d). 20d taxi ride from town.

Disliked: Fine.

Liked: A very nice place to stay for a few days. With a bit of luck (weather) you can have a combination of beach/culture/city holidays.

Disliked: Tangir area is not very safe. Especially if you have a blond girlfriend.

Liked: Beautiful view of the beach and cost of Spain. This is a great option if you're going to Tangier. It's not the nicest hotel, but it's fine for the cost and for being in northern Africa. If you're a backpacker and you are use to walking - It's a solid 15-20 minute walk for the city center which is comfortable. However, if you are not use to walking... You'll want to take cab which will cost only 1 to 2 Euros which is extremely reasonable.

Disliked: James left no negative feedback.

Liked: Right on the water, can see spain from balcony. Also, a little bit outside of the city of Tangier (15 minute walk?) which was nice since it felt safer.

Disliked: They have locks on the doors but only one.

Liked: You get what you pay for, and Hotel Tarik is cheap, so you can't expect much! The room was clean and tidy, the bathroom was much nicer than we had expected, shower was hot and strong and the TV had an english movie channel.

Disliked: The staff at the reception desk were slow and unhelpful, although all other staff around the complex seemed to be very helpful and friendly. Breakfast at the hotel is a waste of time. Much cheaper and a whole lot nicer to jump in a cab and head into town for breakfast.

Liked: Clean, air conditioned room with a TV that had English channels! Breakfast was good, and the room had a view of the beach.

Disliked: When we got to the travel agent office we were told to go to they made us wait for a long time while they made phonecalls etc... we were then told to come back in an hour and a half and had to start the whole process again with a new person. Then after all that we were charged an extra 140 dirhams on top of the price we had on our printout from Hostelbookers. When we protested we were told it was due to 'the exchange rate', but we worked it out ourselves and we were ripped off. Not a great first impression of the country.

Liked: Great little place, easy taxi ride into town, lovely location on the beach with great pathways to stroll about and people watch. Free wifi in the lobby was nice.

Disliked: As an Aussie, it's hard to get used to people smoking inside again!
