Liked: It is a surprisingly lovely oasis in the middle of the Medina. Hidden down side streets the riad has lots of character. Ben Samata was an excellent host and provided insightful assistance. A good place to return to after a visit to the mountains. Pretty cheap too

Liked: Located in the heart of the winding streets of the souqs. Staff came to collect us from the taxi drop-off so that we didn't get lost (whihc we would have done if we'd tried to find it ourselves). Staff we're friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Was cold in the evening (but I guess we were there in December).

Liked: We had a fantastic experience at the Riad! The Riad is set within the Medina close to the hustle and bustle of the epicentre that is Place dJemaa el-Fna but tucked away in an exciting tranquil labyrinth. Booking an airport pick up for first time visitors is highly recommended as the taxi rank outside will charge you an arm and a leg and navigating the route to the Riad takes getting use to! The Riad is clean and tended with care and the manager made us feel very welcome, at hand for travel advice and assisting us with booking a recommended day tour. Riad Attouyour comes highly recommended!

Liked: Couldn't recommend this place more. Clean, peaceful and beautiful. Samata is very helpful in anything you need to book, or just for directions. He was an invaluable help while we adjusted to the frenetic pace of Marrakech. Paying the extra to book a taxi from the airport is money well spent, you'd never find it otherwise. About a 15 minute walk from Djemaa El Fna Square. It was always a joy to return to the tranquility of Riad Attouyour after the madness of Marrakech. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely return!
Disliked: The aroma outside the front door was 'interesting' but once inside there is no trace of it. So it is not an issue really, just don't be put off. It's lovely once inside.

Liked: Nice staff, good location within the medina.
Disliked: Hard to find, it is well hidden in the little streets of the medina. I suggest people taking the taxi offered by the Riad to avoid being ripped of by children `helping` you to find your way there...

Liked: Riad Attouyour is an excellent place for a rest after a busy day of visiting Marrakech, it's souks, the medina, the gardens or the other points of interest. The Riad is beautifully decorated in a traditional Moroccan way and offers all the facilities a guest needs. Breakfast is very good. A special remark goes to the staff and the owner of the Riad. All of them were very helpful, always in for a chat and ready to offer you the best service. They really make you get the most out of your trip in Marrakech. I would definitely go there again.
Disliked: Airconditioning didn't work very good but rather because of technical issues. Staff was very helpful in finding a solution.

Liked: The character of the place and being in somewhere totally different to what we normally stay in. Samata the guy that worked there was excellent. He could not do enough for you and made our stay very welcoming. Samata makes the place. It possibly was a lot of money to stay here, but then I heard Riads are pricey.

Liked: The staff there was very welcoming and helpful in orienting us to the Marrakesh medina. They also arranged a taxi ride back to the airport, which was very useful in achieving a fixed price. The riad was very clean and provided a very comfortable stay.
Disliked: We had a bad experience with finding the riad, as it is well hidden in back streets of the medina. Once we were there though, the staff helped gave us a map that proved very useful in finding our way around. I just wish this could have been provided before hand to find the place safely.

Liked: Samata was incredibly helpful. He was there to help us carry our luggage to the riad from where our taxi was parked - so we didn't struggle to find it at all initially. He immediately gave us a map as well to help us on our way. We got lost once, but this seems to be part of the experience in Marrakech! It was a really lovely environment, breakfast was offered at times that suited us depending on what we had planned for the day. The common rooms and our bedroom were all clean and tidy; we also had fresh towels and bedding everyday. We booked two excursions with Samata's recommendations, and had a brilliant time. They exceeded our expectations. He also booked us reservations at a restaurant one evening, and a hammam on another. All of these were top notch.
Disliked: Nothing we can think of...

Liked: The Moroccan style at a very high level as to both the house and the staff, I and my wife very satisfied, we only missed the description of the access - for a European visitor unusual to get an overview deep in the network of non-marked streets. On the other hand we found a staff willing to help. The atmosphere in this hotel is unique, suitable accomodation espec. for those who want to relax after exploring interesting places of Marrakech.

Liked: Samata is the most helpful host I've ever met, his sister even lent me shoes to go hiking in! It's a lovely quiet place to come back to after the hustle and bustle of the medina. Breakfast of pancakes is lovely, the room is absolutely spotless and the roof terrace catches the sunshine - perfect!
Disliked: It's quite a maze of alleyways to get to - once you arrive Samata gives you a 'magic map', but on first arrival I would suggest organising a taxi through the riad, this is safer than just getting one at the airport.

Liked: Riad Attouyour, we arranged a taxi through the riad to collect us from the airport, the driver took us as far as he could then guided us through the streets and dark alley-ways, we felt very vulnerable & a little intimidated by all around us especially when the driver seemed to be lost and had to ask for directions. Eventually with the help from some local children we found the riad. We were greeted by the lovely Samata, he explained that the riad was owned by people who lived in France & that he along with the help of his sister managed the riad. Our room was nicely furnished with moroccan features and had a lovely ensuite. The rest of the riad was tastefully decorated & we found it to be very comfortable & inviting. The roof terrace was very nice with sunloungers and a table with chairs - very peaceful and a great suntrap but the walls were so high that there was no view! Each morning we were woken by the bird song which was lovely. Breakfast was not what we are used to but was fine & consited of moroccan pancake, bread & or a cake served with butter + jam. The coffee was great!! Samata was always happy to answer questions or offer advice he suggested a great daytrip to the Ourika Valley to see another side to Moroccan life (about 400Md each including lunch). You will get lost the first time you go out, with the help of Samata's map you will recognise the landmarks and will soon know the place like the back of your hand! We had a very enjoyable 5 night stay here before moving to a hotel on the outskirts of town that we'd prebooked.
Disliked: Nothing. P.S the roadworks & planks that have been mentioned in other reviews were there when we arrived but they seemed to finish a couple of days into our trip!

Liked: We had a great stay at Riad Attouyour. Our room was lovely, as are the communal spaces. It is tricky to find the first time but being a little out of the way means it's a peaceful place to stay, but still only 10 mins to the Square. Samata was very helpful too, a great host.

Liked: It was spotlessly clean. Nice roof terrace. Relaxing atmosphere. Manager recommended a good hamman.
Disliked: The breakfast was very basic & apart from good coffee each day, I did not enjoy it at all. The riad is down a maze of alleys & was very difficult to navigate back to, especially in the dark, mainly due to road works. Although he initially seemed very friendly & helpful, it felt like we were overcharged for everything offered by the manager; a map, a 'welcome' snack, a meal. The taxi pick-up he organised (*absolutely* necessary unless you are very familiar to Marrakech) was around 5 times what we paid to go back to the airport in a regular taxi! There are plenty of riads in Marrakech & I would not return to this one.

Liked: A lovely place to stay; clean, comfortable, relaxed with a great rooftop area for watching the stars. Right near the heart of Marrakech - the main square is not far off at all, once you know how to get around. It's right in the middle of the Souk - which lends a great sense of excitement and adventure to your stay! And the never-ending flocks of birds hopping round the courtyard are just adorable.
Disliked: Finding the Riad is no easy task as it's right in the middle of the Souk and there's no direct road access (I personally found this to be a great aspect of the place, but be warned!) If possible, take advantage of any offers to meet you at the airport. We didn't - and it was a miracle we found our way there. The lovely staff gave us a very useful map, hang onto this for dear life and pay close attention to the directions (and keep a close eye out for even the most significant of landmarks).
