Liked: The staff was absolutely lovely. Friendly, smiley and very helpful. He described very thoroughly how to navigate Marrakech. Despite being in the heart of the medina, it was surprisingly quiet. I was recommended this riad by a friend who had enjoyed her stay, and I would recommend it myself.

Disliked: Sophie left no negative feedback.

Liked: The four of us loved everything about this riad. The rooms are beautiful and very clean. The cleanest we found in travelling thoughout Morocco. Samata was a lovely host. The breakfasts were plentyful and tasty. His sister and mother the perfect people who keep the riad clean and lovely. Thanks ladies for the washing and ironing much appreciated. Peaceful and serene a lovely haven to return to after a long day and night. We got a taxi at airport entered the outer Medina then driver rang Samata to say we had arrived we were then greeted by a young pleasant lad who carted our baggage to riad. Was no problem. We felt the riad was in a good spot. If we ever returned to Marrakesh we would stay here again.

Liked: The riad is beautiful inside - clean, relaxing and comfortable from the seating areas to the rooms to the roof-top terrace. And Samata certainly deserves his 'best staff' award - he really made us feel at home and ensured we enjoyed our stay from arranging taxis and excursions to giving directions and serving great breakfasts.

Disliked: The location is a little intimidating at first - right in the medina and down some dark, winding back alleys, though the airport pickup and Samata's map kept us right.

Liked: I loved everything about this Riad. I stayed here before,just over a year ago, and it was very lovely to see this delightful place again. The approach alley is now restored and the friendly welcome awaits from the manager of this delightful Riad, Samata. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and on both my visits I have felt very welcome. It is an authentic moroccan experience and one which I cant wait to return to

Liked: Samata, the hotel manager, was lovely, he was really helpful giving us directions and advice etc, not pushy at all. I totally recommend arranging an airport pick up w Samata, otherwise the Riad is not easy to find for beginners, and street kids get you lost on purpose,to get a good tip. The riad was amazing, really good vaue for the money, we stayed in the medium sized double room and it did look much more expensive than it actually is! very quiet place, you can hear a pin drop, a bliss after the hassle in the souks etc. Immaculately clean, felt like home even though we only stayed there for a few days.It's only 10-15min by walk to the main square, Djemaa El Fna.

Disliked: The area can be a bit dodgy at night, we were attacked/bullied (believe it or not) by children(2 girls, to be more exact)! I wouldn't have felt safe there on my own at night, I travelled w my boyfriend. The riad is very out of the way, in the maze that is the medina, which has it's pros and it's cons, the later being, not a very safe area at night.

Liked: A wonderful riad with an exceptionally helpful owner but due to the location away from the tourist area on the far side of the souk be prepared to walk some distance or get a taxi to the main attractions.

Disliked: Having to walk some distance through the souk to get to Djemaa square or find a taxi (infrequent) from a square some distance away. This riad is not accessible by taxi which can make visiting other areas of Marrakesh difficult.

Liked: Really friendly and helpful owner, quiet, we were lucky and had the whole place to ourselves! Really pretty decoration. Breakfast was pancakes and local bread and jams. Would stay here again! Free wifi worked well.

Disliked: Showers/bathrooms just have a curtain from the room, but its pretty minor and is actually fine! Not a bad thing-but defiantly get a taxi to pick you up, its a real maze and you'll never find it for the first time with out help! Taxi 120 dirhams (around £10) from airport.

Liked: It is a surprisingly lovely oasis in the middle of the Medina. Hidden down side streets the riad has lots of character. Ben Samata was an excellent host and provided insightful assistance. A good place to return to after a visit to the mountains. Pretty cheap too

Liked: Located in the heart of the winding streets of the souqs. Staff came to collect us from the taxi drop-off so that we didn't get lost (whihc we would have done if we'd tried to find it ourselves). Staff we're friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Was cold in the evening (but I guess we were there in December).

Liked: We had a fantastic experience at the Riad! The Riad is set within the Medina close to the hustle and bustle of the epicentre that is Place dJemaa el-Fna but tucked away in an exciting tranquil labyrinth. Booking an airport pick up for first time visitors is highly recommended as the taxi rank outside will charge you an arm and a leg and navigating the route to the Riad takes getting use to! The Riad is clean and tended with care and the manager made us feel very welcome, at hand for travel advice and assisting us with booking a recommended day tour. Riad Attouyour comes highly recommended!

Liked: Couldn't recommend this place more. Clean, peaceful and beautiful. Samata is very helpful in anything you need to book, or just for directions. He was an invaluable help while we adjusted to the frenetic pace of Marrakech. Paying the extra to book a taxi from the airport is money well spent, you'd never find it otherwise. About a 15 minute walk from Djemaa El Fna Square. It was always a joy to return to the tranquility of Riad Attouyour after the madness of Marrakech. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely return!

Disliked: The aroma outside the front door was 'interesting' but once inside there is no trace of it. So it is not an issue really, just don't be put off. It's lovely once inside.

Disliked: Hard to find, it is well hidden in the little streets of the medina. I suggest people taking the taxi offered by the Riad to avoid being ripped of by children `helping` you to find your way there...

Liked: Riad Attouyour is an excellent place for a rest after a busy day of visiting Marrakech, it's souks, the medina, the gardens or the other points of interest. The Riad is beautifully decorated in a traditional Moroccan way and offers all the facilities a guest needs. Breakfast is very good. A special remark goes to the staff and the owner of the Riad. All of them were very helpful, always in for a chat and ready to offer you the best service. They really make you get the most out of your trip in Marrakech. I would definitely go there again.

Disliked: Airconditioning didn't work very good but rather because of technical issues. Staff was very helpful in finding a solution.

Liked: The character of the place and being in somewhere totally different to what we normally stay in. Samata the guy that worked there was excellent. He could not do enough for you and made our stay very welcoming. Samata makes the place. It possibly was a lot of money to stay here, but then I heard Riads are pricey.

Liked: The staff there was very welcoming and helpful in orienting us to the Marrakesh medina. They also arranged a taxi ride back to the airport, which was very useful in achieving a fixed price. The riad was very clean and provided a very comfortable stay.

Disliked: We had a bad experience with finding the riad, as it is well hidden in back streets of the medina. Once we were there though, the staff helped gave us a map that proved very useful in finding our way around. I just wish this could have been provided before hand to find the place safely.

Liked: Samata was incredibly helpful. He was there to help us carry our luggage to the riad from where our taxi was parked - so we didn't struggle to find it at all initially. He immediately gave us a map as well to help us on our way. We got lost once, but this seems to be part of the experience in Marrakech! It was a really lovely environment, breakfast was offered at times that suited us depending on what we had planned for the day. The common rooms and our bedroom were all clean and tidy; we also had fresh towels and bedding everyday. We booked two excursions with Samata's recommendations, and had a brilliant time. They exceeded our expectations. He also booked us reservations at a restaurant one evening, and a hammam on another. All of these were top notch.

Liked: The Moroccan style at a very high level as to both the house and the staff, I and my wife very satisfied, we only missed the description of the access - for a European visitor unusual to get an overview deep in the network of non-marked streets. On the other hand we found a staff willing to help. The atmosphere in this hotel is unique, suitable accomodation espec. for those who want to relax after exploring interesting places of Marrakech.
