Liked: It's history and atmosphere

Disliked: Quite a lot of neglect in the bathrooms - very large cracks etc and in need of modernisation (without losing it's ambience)

Liked: The location: just a few blocks from the main entrance of the medina. A square about 100m away is filled with taxis, which can help you to get faster to places usually reached by taxi, such as the Ville Nouvelle and Borj Nord/Merenid Tombs.

Disliked: The staff wasnt fully helpful. As you will see when you get to Morocco, everyone tries to get money out of you, usually ripping you off. Thus, usually you ask for directions on where to buy things - in Fez mainly pottery (blue and white are traditional) and carpets. When doing that at the hotel, we felt like been given the directions to the receptionists' friends, not to the best places. Besides the 6-10h and 18-22h hot water policy can get you on your nerves, especially if you get there in Fez late or gotta catch an early flight/train.

Liked: It was a great location close to the old medina. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you find a 13 year old boy in the streets who wants to take you on a tour of the city, go with him. He was a great guide and very smart for his age.

Disliked: The door to our room could have used another lock. It only had the kind attached to the door knob.

Liked: We liked having a pool in hot Fez. Also the hotel-staff was very helpful and polite.

Disliked: We found that 30 DH (~3 Euros) for a regional 5 min inland phone call was pricy and the staff in the restaurant was unfriendly, after we remarked that the dish we got was not the dish we ordered.

Liked: Location can´t be better! Beautiful building with a great Lounge for hanging out. Great rapport between price and quality. Photos at the web are not fair with the place, wich is much beautiful than is shown! Swimming pool was huge, deep, great for swimming, it´s an important highlight of the hotel with the arabic lounge.

Disliked: I think they didn´t clean the toilets daily.

Liked: The free breakfast was really nice as well as the pool. THe rooms were clean and the location of the hotel was great since it was right my the medina. Staff is really helpful and nice and they speak english well. Fes was a great city.

Disliked: I wasnt very fond of the pillows but that wasnt really a problem. Overall the hotel was great.

Liked: Fun place. I didnt expect such a big hotel. Lots of Europeans so I guess if you wanted to meet others, it wouldn't be hard since there were many lounging around all over the courtyard (which is quite pretty I might add). There was a pool but we were only there at night and in the morning, so it was still too chilly to use unless the sun is out (we're there in march). Got a nice friendly english speaking guide from the front desk, and they were pretty good overall.

Liked: Great location, right next to the old medina and late night food :) On a sunny day, it is absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast was pretty good too.
