Liked: Sea-view room was great! Breakfast was standard Moroccan fare. Terrace is comfortable and the views are great.

Liked: Perfect location in the medina almost on the sea side citywall. Perfect view and the the seaview rooms should be chosen!

Liked: Clean spacious rooms, tasty breakfast which you can eat on the terrace and a fantastic location just a 5 minute walk from the sea front.

Disliked: Hot water isn't 24 hours as stated, seemed to only be on for one hour in the morning between 8 and 9. Needs a light outside the hostel as it's quite a dark alley.

Liked: The terrace is a very pleasant and cool (when its hot in summer) place to relax. Rooms are clean and in a sober way stylish.

Disliked: The currency (1 E = 11...DH) they use is too high compared to other hostels, so it is more expensive than you think. The location is in a 'backalley' which makes it less friendly to visit.

Liked: the location is not that good, in the evenings the place seems to be dangerous and dark. however, the riad is beautiful, better take a room with a seaview - additional 5 euros worth that!

Liked: It was right on the city walls with the sound of the Atlantic pounding against it and the terrace was amazing to stand and just watch the waves crashing onto the rocks

Liked: The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. The room was clean, and breakfast was prompt and good. The location of this hostel is good, with just a five min walk to the port area. The rooms and communal areas are beautifully decorated, and the views from the roof terrace are fantastic.

Liked: Waking up to the sounds of the ocean breaking just at our doorstep, we went up the rooftop terrace where we were served moist Moroccan breads, mint tea, orange marmalade, and fresh squeezed orange juice which were included in the price of the room. The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated and provided more than enough space for the 3 of us. The staff could not have been more accommodating or friendly and spoke both French and English. The "hostel" (really, this is a hotel) is in a quiet area with views of the ocean. The only concern is that it is hard to find, especially if you arrive at night as we did. I wouldn't worry greatly about this fact as Essaouira has a very calm and safe atmosphere, even at night. All in all, a great place to stay, especially luxurious if you are on a budget like we were (and totally worth the 2 or 3 extra Euros a night!).

Liked: Excellent value for money within the town walls. The town is small so any hotel within the town walls is good enough. Beautiful views if you have a ocean view room. Very classy feel to it and it shows with the way they decorate. The show a lot of local artists on the walls and they have a wrought iron theme carried out throughout the whole hotel. The staff is really friendly too.
