Liked: I kiked the very laid back atmoshere, very tranquil, everyone relaxed, cool place to sit around read, talk, nap, swim a good place to hang out if you are tired from some rough travel or to much work and you want some simple lux. It is also not on a tourist route so it is like being in a regular working class Mauritian neighbourhood which is nice. Very clean and well kept. Wifi service and free internet. Lots of lounge chairs to sit and enjoy the ocean. Good little place. Great local bus services to take you everywhere, and cheap.

Disliked: It would be nice if the kitchen was accessable to residents since eating out options are limited and i couple of somewhat up market eateries were pretty poor. I had better grub at the nice lttle restaurant near the little bakery. yYou can venture into town for dinner but the last bus is 7pm if you dont mind taxi costs then its ok. If the kitchen was open it would have been perfect. Thats it, otherwise great.

Liked: Friendly & relaxed atmosphere, stylish decor, breakfast with variety on the verandah, in-built safe in room, helpful staff (& even their children!), free internet access & good selection of books to read.

Liked: This is a family-run business with plenty of charm and the owners are approachable, friendly and kind. It was very peacefull with a beautiful garden and breakfast on the veranda. We had 'room 8' which was actually a separate bungaloo next to the main house, we had two bedrooms a kitchen and bathroom, so plenty of space and privacy. The bus stop is very near and it takes only 30mins on the express to get into town. Good value for money. We were there during a quite period and it is not a typical tourist hotel, but a family run business, where you can get to know the owners and other guests.

Disliked: The TV in our room was very old and did not work properly, however there was also a large TV in the communal area. The safe was not secure and could be easily carried off by intruders. We could have done with better reading light in the lounge, however we did not mention this at the time.

Liked: We liked the house, it was beautiful. The room was good and clean. The brekfast was good but not very healthy (the bread).The pool was not cleaned properly often enough. The owners were nice but did not really take care of things. I had asked for aroom closest to the sea but did not get it though it was empty. When I asked the owner for reason, I did not get an answer. I could stay there another time..

Liked: The house and grounds were lovely and the outlook superb. The staff, and particularly the owner Mary, were great. It was quiet in the evenings, just other people to talk to which suited me very well. Mauritius generally seems to close down once it gets dark. If looking for nightlife one of the resort/resort towns would be better.

Liked: Beautiful building - everything was new and spacious, exceptionally clean and the people were welcoming and friendly - without doubt the best place I have ever stayed for the price. couldn't reccomend it more highly!

Liked: A first rate guest house which was the perfect place to relax after a days sightseeing. The pool was great plus the sea was a couple of steps away, with a public beach next door to Villa Jorico. Mary and Eric made me very welcome and there was a family atmosphere that you don't get in most 4 or 5 star hotels. Great value for money and will certainly come back.There is a frequent and cheap (16R) bus from the Immigration Place bus station in Port Louis which takes 20 to 30 minutes - get off at Ponte Aux Sables Police Station and then walk back the way you came for about 3 minutes to get to Villa Jorico
