Liked: The rooms were very clean and parts of it seemed newly remodeled

Disliked: The door to the room has no interior lock an the only lock on the exterior was a small push lock. One of the workers who was doing some work in the hall accidentally walked into our room while we were in it. Luckily we were only eating. It would be nice if there was a dead bolt.

Liked: - free Wi-fi access but not form the hostel - free breakfast with variety of meals - very good localization, close to the supermarket, bus stop and beach - two swimming pools

Disliked: - hostel is currently under renovation - a lot of young noisy persons

Liked: breakfast

Disliked: There is Internet Wifi but you have to pay a lot ... for exemple 22 euros per 8 hours. When I read in Hostelbooks no talk about this breprice for internet .... The hotel wanna steal the customers with internet. There is air conditioning but work like ventilator, no chage the temperature .. for exemple I choose 16c but the system change alone to 26c ... completely fake. The hotel there isnt place to stop the car to put luggage. You have to stop all the street.

Liked: if you are copple,they do not put you in the room next to do noisy young people. price is really cheap in low season.

Disliked: swimmingpool was out of order. not a great selection of meal on breakfast.

Liked: There was ice-cream for breakfast! :) The bedroom and the hotel itself was really nice, and the people in reception were very kind with us. The cleaning service cleaned the bedroom even if we left the bedroom around 3pm.

Disliked: There was a bit of rust in the bath which made it look a bit dirty, even if it wasn't. Some of the towers looked a bit old, but they were clean. To be honest, everything was quite ok.

Liked: If you are going to a hotel to stay in the hotel this is not the site for you but if you use it to sleep in and maybe spend some hours on occasion to kill time it´s alright....

Liked: Location is about the only good thing about this place. Its in St. Julians which is close to the marina & there are lots of places to eat. Our sheets had holes in them, the towels were stained. We stayed in a room with a balcony which was never cleaned! The water in the bathroom (shower) tasted like salt. They have two pools but neither were filled with water. You need to pay 3 euros for 1 hour of internet! The door to your room is not secure at all, it has a weak knob. no air condition in the room, well there was an AC, but it didnt work.

Liked: One of the cheapest places to stay in the middle of the Paceville fuzzy area. Don't expect too much, the old hotel probably used to be a high standing one but it is not anymore: We booked double but got twin, the beds are very old, the decoration outdated and there are currently (April 2010) many construction sites taking place which makes it hard to sleep later than 7:30am.For a sleep&go spot, it is definitely good value for money.

Liked: Ho(s)tel is nearby the center of St.Julian's Paceville where you can find numerous clubs,restaurants,bars and shops. Public bus stops are only 5 minutes from hostel. Take breakfast! It's nice and quiet hostel with great location!

Liked: The staff were friendly and helpful and the lobby area was nice, but the salt water showers and poor quality of the room wasn't good. The breakfast was ok. The indoor pool was not heated. The area is very loud with crazy people screaming and yelling throughout the night - hard to sleep. Nice restaurants in the area and cheaper than Valleta.

Liked: I was travelling to St Julians for the first time and on my own. The location of the Alexandra was absolutely perfect, it is more or less in the heart of Paceville but without it being too close to any noisy pubs or clubs! Evrything in St Julians is within very easy walking distance and if you wanted to go a bit further the buses stop about 150 meters up the road! My room was modest but was clean and perfect for my needs. The staff were so friendly and very helpfull every day. I always got a nice greeting morning, noon or night! There is a very reasonable priced restaurant in at the hotel and a bar which is open till abou 6am. I was on bed and breakfast board, the bufy breakfast had a decent selection of food and drinks.Over all i was very happy with my stay and had no complaints what so ever.
