Liked: it had a great location and the staff were super helpful. the local taxi guide that worked with the hotel was fabulous too - his tours and help was fantastic and made our holiday.

Disliked: the rooms though a decent size and clean were in desperate need of an overhaul. we stayed in 2 rooms - the first the bathroom was tiny with a shower over the sink. the second the tv didnt work and though the bathroom was bigger the shower didnt work properly and the bathroom had a odd open part near the ceiling that was shared with the bathroom next door. needless to say we could hear the person next door in the bathroom and they could hear us in ours. they also left the light on all night which meant it shined through into our room.

Liked: The location was really great.

Disliked: Every extra thing including a hair-dryer needs to be paid extra.

Liked: Location and it had all the shops around it that I needed. Bed was comfortable.

Disliked: Breakfast was very expensive. Their driver who picked me up from the airport charged me double the going rate. My suitcase had obviously been opened every day because when I returned the zips were left partly open! There was a space at the top of my bathroom wall which connected with next doors bathroom so I could hear them using their toilet, brushing their teeth etc and every word of their conversations!

Liked: great location and beds were very comportable and rooms were cleaned everyday. Breakfast was not included and was expensive to buy.

Disliked: one female staff was exremley rude. She yelled at us to give her the money when we arrived and looked quite depressed working at the hotel. Other staff were lovely. Wifi was very expensive and you did not get your money back or a new card if there was a problem with the card the hotel sold you. We were not given a map when we arrived and there wasnt any information on tours and attractions in the local area displayed at the hotel.

Disliked: when i was my room at first time the room wasn't clean.I've called reception and sent a housekeeper cleaning to room .

Liked: It has a good price, is well located, good air conditioning, rooms are clean and confortable.

Disliked: The WIFI was expensive and had a bad signal in my room, the same was the telephone rates. The bathroom was tiny. They could give some touristic instructions during the check in to become easier knowing Beirut.

Liked: This is a good budget hotel in the burstling Hamra area, the real Beirut, full with bars, shops, restaurants, close to the Amercian Univesity and next to Corniche, wher you can have a stroll in the evening to admire the sunset. If you prefer the real Beirut; book here and not in the far more expensive upmarket downdown area which is totally rebuilt after the war but has no character..The hotel Staff was correct, helpfull and efficient and eager to book my daily trips in the country. The rooms are nice, simple though, but clean with all the modern comforts and quiet if you take one facing the garden side. The hotel cooperates with a friendly taxidriver Hussein Abdallah with very reasonably fares, since taxicars are not (yet?)metered in Lebanon.

Disliked: It's a simple hotel, so if you prefer a more luxury stilish hotel you should go somewhere else. But that depens on your own taste (and budget).

Liked: Location, right in the centre of Hamra.

Disliked: Room the size of my bathroom at home was way overpriced should be more like $30US than 50. Bathroom needs a shower curtain.

Liked: the staffs are friendly and accomodating, the location is perfectly situated nearby shops, restaurants and party places in just a walk away. i booked for twin room yet on arrival we requested triple instead and they accepted easily which really good.

Disliked: some ongoing repairs of the hotel when we arrived, yet t'was during the day only when like everybody leaving the hotel. the water in the bathroom is so salty like you are bathing in the dead sea.! the elevator is so tiny! other than it was fine, budget wise.

Liked: it was one block from hamra for shopping. staff were really nice especially the girl that was working the day shift.

Disliked: the single mini room was terrible so i had to upgrade to a new room. the mini room has no a/c and stays hotter than it is outside. i switched to a new room and the a/c worked well and it also had a tv, balcony, and fridge. hotel is too far from the beach resorts and too far from nightlife. they have no internet access. hotel is way over priced. mini room should be about $25 a night and the room with a/c should be $50 not $100

Liked: It smelt cigaret in my room, the bathroom door couldn't be closed and the water didn't go to the sink after the shower, so the floor was still totally wet 8 hours later when i went back to the hotel after being out.

Liked: Well serviced room and helpful staff. Right next to everything in Hamra, Captains Cabin down the street and Syrian embassy even closer the other way.(We got in at 3.30am and at precisely 7am there was some construction noise so we were moved without fuss and with apologies to a better room)
