Liked: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The buffet dinners were excellent. My room was small but cozy.

Disliked: It was especially cold when I was there and the dining room and sitting room could not be properly heated. My room was nice and warm, though!

Liked: It is a good location for the ruins, but is an excellent place to stay because the hotelier is so welcoming and helpful. Lifts to the site are available as required; information about what you should be paying for things and moving on is offered. Also good dinners are served. One of the best places I have stayed.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Manager Mousleh was a good honest character that gave really good travel advice, and really good petra advice, that always turned out to be true. Backpacker atmosphere with hotel type rooms.

Disliked: They didn't turn the heating on earlier enough at night, and as it was winter it was freezing. Mousleh has assured me this will be changing

Liked: Cleopetra was very clean and new. The rooms were spotless and I was given a fan (but no A/C). The owner also drove me to the gate and to the bus, which was very helpful..

Disliked: It was a little farther away than I had hoped. The other issue I had was about the charges for my room. I reserved the room using hostelworld, but then switched to a cheaper room (that wasn't available on hostelworld) when I arrived. I wasn't told that this room didn't include breakfast, so I was invited to eat and then later told that I had to pay. The woman who worked there then said the visa machine would only do whole JD amounts, so I actually had to pay even more. She didn't even offer me anything like water to make up the difference. She was very deceptive and I think inappropriate.

Liked: All staff were notably friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible.

Liked: Value for money and free transfer to Petra in the morning.

Disliked: Is some distance from Petra entrance but that is made up for by the free transfer.

Disliked: Booked a double room, but got a twin. Rooms facing the road are very loud, with traffic and a very loud call to prayer at 4 am that lasts for 50 min. Hot water was almost not existant for the first 2 days we stayed there.

Liked: staff were really really helpful, Beds were most comfortable of my whole trip. Location excellent - and free taxi to Petra, Tours on offer proved excellent value adn quality - even though I was sceptical at first. First class.

Disliked: Evening meal a bit dull.

Liked: Centrally located in Wadi Musa, Cleopetra offers free shuttle service to and from the front gate of Petra.

Disliked: Breakfast was meager and not included. Also, the heat was turned off during the day and not turned back on until 7 pm so the room was a bit too cold.

Liked: Proximity to Petra. Some good recommendations from the manager.

Disliked: The manager worked really hard to be friendly and helpful but he's quite insecure so sometimes he comes across as a bit aggressive and short-tempered. He's trying a little bit too hard.

Liked: Friendly staff and very willing to help out. The rooms were standard, but you get what you pay for. Close to a great outdoor restaurant down the road. It was nice that it was a little further away from the hustle and bustle. No air con but they supplied fans.

Disliked: I didn't like the fact that they put out a breakfast spread and encouraged you to eat but didn't tell you that it cost 3JD until you checkout. Especially considering it consisted of boiled eggs and pitta bread. Also, hot water was pretty much non-existent. When it was there, the pressure wasn't enough to maintain the stream from the shower head.

Liked: The property is located towrds to top of Wadi Musa but for the young and fit its not that far to walk down to Petra. The staff are friendly and if you wish they offer an early breakfast for those keen to start early (though there is a fruit & veg market close by to get provisions and bakery on the way to Petra). The staff are friendly and helpful.

Disliked: The hotel could have been a tad cleanier and we had to ask for towels as these were not left in our room. We also had to insist they book us on the early morning bus to Wadi Rum after they told us just to turn up at the bus stop (thankfully they did as the bus was fully booked)

Liked: Excellent staff, very helpful.Nice location.

Disliked: Some daily room cleaning and small improvement in facilities (e.g., providing bath towels, soap etc.) would help improve the impression the hotel makes.

Liked: We had a great time at cleopetra and our host Mosleh had a great sense of humour and is very honest. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated - their only downside is that they don't have AC (apparently only top end hotels in petra do) and we barely slept for three nights. Still, aside from that, it was a nice hostel.

Liked: Very clean, definitely caters to the backpack crowd, but as a single parent traveller, we felt very welcome too!!

Liked: The friendliness of all who worked there more than made up for the fact it was quite a ways away from the entrance to Petra and they provided free transportation to and from the entrance point. I'd stay there again all was very clean.

Liked: The hostel is renovating the rooms and is not putting any effort in keeping the "old rooms" up to standard.The staff is very friendly, but with their laughs they try to avoid the problems.Good for one night, but not for a longer stay.
