Liked: nice staff, nice atmosphere, good WIFI connection

Disliked: The hotel seems to have been overbooked the night when I arrived. I was shown two rooms in the 2nd floor, each with mould fungus all over the ceiling and in the bathroom, with putrid smell all over. Next day they told me those rooms shouldn't have been rented at all, and they gave me a discount, and another room, which was better. However, there was only ocasionally hot water, and the whole shower construction was obsolete. I kind of sympathise with that place and the people who run it, but even in a budget hotel the rooms should definitely be better kept and maintained.

Disliked: Unfortunately here during unexpected snow storms so rooms very cold (not all windows close fully)

Liked: The staff were friendly and happy to provide useful information. If I needed anything (tea, toilet paper...) they were always ready to help.

Disliked: It sounded like we were sleeping outside - flimsy single pane windows did nothing to block the sounds of traffic outside. The toilets got backed up a couple times, but were fixed quite quickly.

Liked: In a very good location

Disliked: Not the cleanest, first night no hot water and second no cold! Also quite noisy, had a woman screaming and yelling half of one night we were there

Liked: Extremely friendly and accommodating staff: determined to resolve any problems once they are brought up. Sufficient heating. Central location - close to all the main tourist sights in Amman.

Disliked: Smell in toilets and occasionally faulty flushes. In-person reservation wasn't noted (although that led to us having a triple room for the price of a double). Breakfast is cold except for tea.

Liked: Great location, super helpful staff, helped to otganise day trips to dead sea etc.

Disliked: hot/ cold water tanks sometimes need to be filled up before you can have a shower

Liked: The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. I felt welcome as never before. The Abbasi hotel is like a family. I loved mrs. Nijhmah, an extraordinary warm hearted woman! And also the 2 guys working with great people. Amman is a great place but going around after dusk for a single woman is a very unpleasant experience. Luckily, is so pleasant to stay inside the hotel in the evenings, so that you don't get bored by being trapped inside.

Disliked: Hot water was there only one day out of 4, and the room was just above a very busy road, so very noisy. Downtown Amman is unpleasant if you travel alone, so if you are very sensitive to men unfriendly glimpse, consider taking a big hotel in the higher town: you will miss the best of Amman (which is the people) but indeed safer.

Liked: Friendly and helpful staff in central downtown Amman (although I wasn't keen on walking around as a single female at night) but entrance is secure. Nice common area with wi-fi, cheap single room ensuite.

Disliked: There was no hot water the evening I arrived, but there was hot water in the morning. Another friend who stayed there didn't have hot water during his stay (but apparently there was hot water in the kitchen tap) so it's probably best to check or ask about it if you have issues with hot water. I chose this hotel because it had cheap single rooms. My room was a bit old and musty, but for the price, I can't complain.

Liked: Staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The location was perfect to see real downtown Amman. The staff were willing to organise taxis for us. Breakfast was good.

Disliked: Nothing actually worked - no proper running water, toilets didn't flush, bed collapsed, hooks fell off the wall if you hang anything on them and one of the rooms we had didn't have a door handle on the inside so getting out of the room was a bit or a task.

Liked: staff is very helpful, taxi service is good, location is perfact and lift and kitchen are the plus points.

Disliked: bathrm was not working properly. furniture was making noises. new mattress needed...

Liked: Nothing much

Disliked: The bed was terrible. Filthy sheets. The location is central but very noisy. Staff was not very nice. Wouldnt really recomend you stay there. Luckily it was only for the night and I left to Petra the morning after

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful, often sitting with guests and having conversations. Rooms were basic but what you would expect from a dorm and were cleaned well.

Liked: *Tea upon arrival, free internet, free basic breakfast..* *24 hour reception, Tiger helped me out at 3am with a pillow swap which was nice of him

Disliked: *Pillows are horrible, stuffed with bean bag material or some other rubbish. *Constant pushing of tours tours tours, so bloody annoying! They just dont get it! * Also had to remind them 3 times for toilet paper and a towel, basic stuff really, no? *Very nosy in the room I was in, by the street.

Liked: its a great place to stay in Amman...near of all sigths and in busy downtown, where u have plenty cheap restaurants and a big amount of shops where u can buy almost everything...the staff of Abbasi was really nice and friendly...they always helped us with planning our trip, they gave us a lot of good information and organized drivers to get somewhere...

Disliked: nothing
