Welcome to Asakusa Ryokan Toukaisou!
The Asakusa Ryokan Toukaisou is in the heart of Tokyo, offering an inexpensive, quiet and comfortable stay. We are located in Asakusa, the heart of the old down town (Shitamachi) Tokyo, which is quite rare in modern-day Tokyo.

All rooms are private and are individually equipped with traditional Tatami flooring, a bath tub and shower, toilet, air conditioner / heater, and TV. Yukata (Japanese bathrobes), a hair dryer, towels, toothbrushes, two-in-one shampoo, body wash, tea sets and hot water are also provided.

There is free wi-fi internet access in all of the rooms as well as an internet-accessible computer in the lobby that may be used free during reception hours (8am - 11pm).

On the rooftop there is a coin-operated washing machine and dryer, as well as space to hang your clothing to dry under the sun.

Please be prepared to pay for your stay fully in advance and in Japanese yen upon your arrival. If you want to use a credit card when paying, we will need to charge an additional 5% transaction fee on top of the balance.

Please tell us about any changes to your reservation as soon as possible and at least 2 days before. We need to charge you for the room if you cancel the day of the reservation or the day before the reservation.

Location Information

From Narita Airport:
Take the Keisei line to UENO station (the last stop) and transfer to the Tokyo Metro Ginza subway line (about a three-minute walk) and ride that to Tawaramachi station.

From Haneda Airport:
Take the monorail to Hamamatsucho station and transfer to the JR Yamanote line and ride that to UENO station. Transfer to the Tokyo Metro Ginza subway line and go to Tawaramachi station.

We are located in ASAKUSA, a more traditional area of Tokyo, with SENSOUJI Temple only 10 minutes away on foot.
