Liked: By far this is one of the best places i have stayed in my travels in Japan. It has such character and is comfortable. The room is more than generous and the keepers are lovely, welcoming and helpful. The area itself is perfect, it is situated right in front of the wholesale district, where you can find all sorts of treasures as well as amazing restaurants, i really do recommend Ameblo if you want a full drink and a fantastic meal. *go for the recommended meal of the evening.* The property itself was stunning and interesting.

Disliked: Nothing, this place is perfect for travellers wishing to experience the real traditional side of japan.

Liked: Hoshidekan is a great place to stay and an opportunity to experience a typical stay in a Japanse setting. Check the meals out as well, as those are great as well. But don't forget to check out a local restaurant in the old village/street near Hoshidekan (ask the staff).

Liked: This Ryokan is family owned and run mostly by the owner, single old lady. Except in the busy morning breakfast preparation. Its a pity she dont speak English at all, less information know where to go around the city, plus the location isnt really great, little bit out of town. Did I mention the room we have is kinda spooky and might be haunted?We have to hire bike to go around by ourselves, and found this nice restaurant 1 min from Iseshi Station "Sato". 2 days staying in Iseshi staying-out-from-the-city isnt really appealling what its suppose to be .. We wish we stay in Nagoya longer and make a day trip to Ise. Thats recommended! I meant for the price you pay here, you can get a nice hotel in Nagoya city..

Liked: Nobody could speek english and knew about the reservation i did on hostelbookers. The price I paid was not the one i was supposed to pay, but because the owner could not speak a word of english i could not explain anything... Otherwise the room was very nice and the location is very good.

Liked: It's a old Style Japanese Hotel. It's very cute. But you sleep ond the ground and the Climaautomation isnt able to warm the room to the ground.

Liked: I loved the beautiful traditional room that we stayed in. This was our first stay in a ryokan and we loved sleeping on the futons on the mats - much more comfy than we'd thought. The Ryokan had so much character and the little Japanese garden was lovely. The staff were very casual and natural and the Kawasaki area with its traditional bulidings were amazing. We felt that we'd gone back in time. This was the highlight of our visit to Japan and I say to anyone, go and stay there for sure.
