Liked: The catering staff was very polite and efficient

Disliked: The reception was plain rude. We were given a smokers room without asking. The breakfast was poor in variety.

Disliked: Hard beds and pillows, plastic cups on hospitality trays and no milk for tea or coffee. Lack of complimentary wi-fi for personal computer. If a bed and breakfast accommodation in the foothills near Lake Como can provide free wi-fi, why can't a large hotel such as this one?

Liked: It's a hotel. It's old. many things don't work. Good hot water and nice amenities. Elevator was fixed quickly. kettle had wrong plug for outlets in our room.Otherwise, good breakfast. Farther from the center than advertised.

Liked: The hostel looks good and is not so bad located. You have to take a bus and go outside the city, but the bus stop is not so far from the hotel.

Liked: If you are at all discriminating about your accommodations, Maxim is for you. It's actually a hotel, with all the usual accessories--TV, bathtub, lots of drawer and closet space, a safe, and a fridge. If you don't like the typical loud hostel scene, you will really enjoy Maxim. Oh, and the buffet breakfast is the absolute best I have had in 2 months of traveling through Europe. It's even better than American hotel breakfasts.

Liked: This place is great value for money. It is a 15 minute bus ride from the centre of Verona but it is very straightforward and easy.

Liked: A real bargain for this hotel. Very comfortable place to stay, on-site restaurant if you don't feel like taking a bus into downtown Verona for dinner. Generous buffet breakfast. Quiet & well equipped rooms. Probably easier to access by car but we had no trouble with the bus. A great place to stay.
