Liked: Although it's quite far from Venice they have a mini bus which takes you directly to the city - unfortunately the latest time to come back is 10pm so you can't see Venice at night. Very good breakfast (not only sweet )

Disliked: There should be possibility to come back later at night by the mini bus - 10pm is too early

Liked: It was a nice place. Only the location was confusing.

Disliked: The location & address given in the booking was wrong/ confusing & had a very bad time finding it. Google maps was wrong this time..

Liked: The room had two front doors. One was a thick wooden door which made me feel safe and a regular glass front door.

Disliked: I disliked where the hotel was located and how far away it was from the bus stop I needed to take to go into Venice.

Liked: I liked the way a small room was fixed to feel roomy.

Disliked: I disliked that the staff were unfriendly and rude. I also disliked that the hotel was about 30-45 minutes away from Venice in a city bus.

Liked: The bathroom was nice and clean.

Disliked: A day after we had left the staff charged us additional 20 EUR without any notice (the money was automatically charged on my account without my permission). After I checked my account and asked them for an explanation they replied we had allegedly broken a light in the room. No one of us was aware of this and the staff refused to show us evidence or a photo of the broken light or where it was in the room. In the end I could say I was just lucky they didnt take more from my card.

Liked: Even though the place was far from the city center, it was a good compromise for money. It is cheap for the quality. The rooms have a private bathroom, which is not available in other hostels for the same money. Also, it is nice that they provide shuttles to/from Venice city center.

Disliked: The description on how to get to the hotel on the website was wrong. It was written to take bus N25 to the city center but N25 bus did not exist any more. At least they should inform the people who booked rooms via emails. We spent quite some time to figure out the way to the hotel. The internet connection was too slow, which is a drawback for people who need the connection.

Disliked: The staff were not helpful or very nice and the restaurant was closed for the time that we stayed there and we were not informed of this.

Disliked: the room smelled like smoke, the receptionist we encountered was cold and unfriendly, wifi accessibility was disappointing

Liked: Pretty good value for money considering accommodation options in Venice. Buffet breakfast offered many options however cold. Clean, helpful reception staff.

Disliked: Quite distant from the main city however only about 20 mins by bus.

Liked: The rooms were clean, the shuttle service was very convenient for 2 euros each way but there was only 2 pick ups and 2 drop offs.

Disliked: The directions given to get to the hotel were useless. The no.25 bus service is no longer running and we had to find out that we needed the no.10 bus which was at another bus stop further from the station, it also cost 2.50 euros not 1.10 euros. The breakfast was a buffet style for 5 euros but we were not impressed.

Liked: the hotel in itself was very nice and very comfortable. the bathrooms were decent and was cleaned everyday. the breakfast offered was fantastic with a variety of options for only 5 euros.

Disliked: the hotel is outside venice itself. so to go to the city you either take the bus (1.20 euros) or the shuttle service (2 euros.) offered by the hotel. and the city itself is a good 30-4o mins away. also the receptionist during the day was horrible. she was rude and obnoxious and she if you asked her for any queries for eg. how do you go to the city - you take the shuttle bus for 2 euros. tell me now. till wat time is breakfast on. its till 10 for 5 euros pay me now. i also overheard her 'advising' other guests abt the public transport and she eithe gave them half the information or denied any information altogether because she wanted them to use the hotels facilities at a price which we had to book on the spot. i asked her for the sirport shuttle from the hotel and she refused to give me time to think. she kept going tell me now tell me now. and this is a good 2 days before i had to leave - at a time when i knew the shuttle would be free so its not like i was missing out on it or that it would get full. she was just rude (im sorry im repeating) but it was very embarrassing to talk to her because she kept going pay me now pay me now.

Liked: quaint rooms. the hotel staff who spoke English were very helpful.

Disliked: it is very far from the airport and from venice, difficult to navigate with the bus system, and the hotel only offers shuttles at specific hours of the day.

Liked: We had issues with the fact that that family of the staff lived directly under our groups set of rooms so no matter what we did we were too loud and kept getting yelled at. Not very smart on the hotels part.

Liked: The bed was comfortable and the bedroom and private bathroom was very clean and nice. Also they do organize a shuttle service which costs only two euro to venice, but they only leave at certain times so you have to work around those times, otherwise you are stranded there.

Disliked: I didn't like the staff. Only the evening receptionist was lovely, asides from her ,the rest of the staff, who seemed all to be from the same family were rude, and never greeted you with a smile. Also, the distance from venice and mestre was a bit of a pain.

Liked: it is clean.

Disliked: It is not at a very convenient location. The description on the page wasnt helpful because "2stops before the last stop." didnt help. there wasnt any indication of the stops on the bus plus very few ppl can speak english well enough to give any directions.

Liked: Good value for money. Great place to stay if you have a car as you can park and take the bus into Venice. Breakfast was a good del for money too.

Disliked: Staff could be friendlier. Bed was extremely soft and could lead to a very uncomfortable night for people with back problems.

Liked: Very clean room and inexpensive. Shuttle service offered was the best way to get to Venice. It was only 2 euros and it took you directly there in about 20 minutes.

Disliked: Very poor location. The city bus stop was a bit far, especially if you're walking back at night. Not much to do in the area.

Disliked: 1. Distance from the city 2. The checkin time was no where mentioned on the site. 3. Hotel shuttles didn't ply at night as was promised by the hotel staffs in the morning. VERY POOR SERVICE.

Liked: I loved my stay in Villa Dori..It was like wise like for its name....It was a VILLA..We reached the hotel early around 8:00 AM and requested to check in early..In the starting the old lady at the reception who speak only Italian denied..but later we came to know the it was run by family and some other lady after pursuing we got one room for 4 people so that we can freshen up...But it was really understanding since we came bit early...they provided late night shuttle service from Venice to the hotel till 10:00 PM and its quite cheap for 4 Euros pp from Hotel to Venice and return...Even you can request for a shuttle midnight but it would cost 20 Euros or more ...Breakfast costs 5 Euros but its worth having breakfast in this hotel with such a nice ambiance...It was a memorable stay with superb service..

Disliked: The Hotel owner or the receptionist lady whosoever was there at the reception should be polite with the customers sometimes if they have came early ....

Liked: I liked the hominess of it though the receptionist was not the most friendly person that I've ever met. I did think that the location was decent though it is a bit far from the island. We enjoyed our stay there but the buses stop running early so if you plan on staying on the island late because there is not much to do around the hotel, you will need to take a taxi home.

Disliked: The receptionist really annoyed me because she didn't seem at all interested in making sure that we felt welcome. She gave us information about getting to the island only AFTER we had to ask her.

Liked: breakfast was good. and the shattels to venice also.

Disliked: the receptionist was very rood to us. we have called a day before to change our reservation from 3 persons to 4. it was confirmed with no extra comments. when we arrived we were asked to pay the higher fee - just like a 3 persons room - for all 4 persons, even though we were 4 at this room. and when we tried to discuse it, the receptionist was rude and cursing us in italian. she told us we can eather pay or leave! so we had no choice and we stayed since the hotel was far from everything and it was night. after we got to the room we saw it is small with two small beds and one opening double bed which broke our back. the shower was broken and the water were everywhere... in short - we didnt like it and gut ofended from their treatment!
