Liked: The hotel was located inside the original city walls and close to attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful in recommendations of where to eat.

Disliked: Hotel is located on a very very busy street and you can hear EVERYTHING that happens on that street, conversations, scooters revving, drunken people stumbling home, church bells and dogs barking all night. I didnt get a very good sleep any night that I was there. The carpet in the room was filthy and very old. Shower was warm, but not hot. It is quite an uphill trek from the train station, but apparently you can take a bus, which was not stated in the directions, that would have been very helpful. Front Desk reception closed at 7:30 every night instead of 10:30. The TV was broken in my room.

Liked: Perfect location just by the historical centre but off enough to be peacefull....with bus stops nearby and really pleasant local bar vis'a'vis.....and so much helpfulness from receptionistess ;)

Liked: location was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We found the room was noisy with bus station outside window. Room was fairly run down, and bathroom was pretty bad. Considering the age of the building, not unexpected. Breakfast good.

Liked: Front desk was great and helpful. Breakfast in the basement was adequate to prepare for a full day of sightseeing. Location also good, just a few minutes walk from the main bus/train station.

Liked: The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was a little run down and dark but when you opened the windows it was nice and sunny!

Liked: The hot water was unreliable for 2 out of the 3 showers. When I informed reception, I was made to feel that the problem was me, not the hotel as the receptionist said that I was the first to complain about the hot water that day...this was unsatisfactory - no apology or acceptance of a potential problem.

Liked: Old hotel, the photos look much nicer than what the rooms really look like and too expensive for ehat you get. Having said that, the lady at the desk was great......and breakfast was fairly good.

Liked: Half price sale for Hostelbookers so excellent value, as the old fashioned and slightly poky hotel was right by the city centre and very near the bus station. Receptionist very helpful, and we were able to borrow bowls and plates for our own breakfast in our room - hotel breakfast was 5 euros, which we thought too expensive for us.
