Liked: Perfect location. 10minute walk from city center. just far enough to be near local hangouts away from the growds of tourists. and parking available in the streets

Disliked: The room was very average

Liked: It was a really cute place with lots of cool knick knack/travel souvenirs. The owner also lived in California for a while so he speaks good English. My roomie and I (two girls) felt totally comfortable. It's also a very quick (and cheap) taxi ride from the central area of Firenze. I suggest taking a cab over public transport, it's much faster and easier.

Disliked: Someone was smoking outside our window...but that can't really be helped! It was a freak thing.

Liked: I was ill when I arrived I went to bed for the night after my initial look-around. The furnishings were gorgeous and the man at reception was the epitome of a true gentleman, (allowing me a late check out when he saw how peaky I looked, as well as making nice conversation!)

Disliked: It was a little bit beyond my budget, especially once the 2-5 Euro fee was added (not sure exactly how much it was, sorry). But it was a lovely treat for myself and I'd do it again. Also, the lack of EFTPOS/credit card facilities was a little inconvenient as I prefer not to deal in cash.

Liked: The room was clean and beds were comfortable.

Disliked: The owner of the hostel was rude and told us that we can not be outside all night, and that we should come back by 2-3AM, which was not indicated on the website. He even threatened expelling us from the hostel if we don't comply to his rules. On top of that, he rarely spoke in english, cursing that we should not be in Italy unless we speak Italian...

Liked: Outwardly the building looks old but once inside it has a character of its own. Comfortable but pricey for a lone traveler. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: This place was very cool. It had amazing furnishings that really conveyed the time period feel of the building, yet it was comfortable and modern.The owner was very helpful and friendly. It was close to several bus stops so transportation to the sights was not a problem. We drove a car there and there was free parking on the streets during the weekend which was a nice bonus.

Disliked: The breakfast was not so great.

Liked: The owner of this property is a true gentleman who was there to help at any opportunity...ready and willing to give advice on travel, food and also a good storyteller... The location could have been better but it was the hotel where we all felt the most relaxed despite the hustle and bustle of modern Italy. Quiet and nice surroundings....would recommend to anyone!

Liked: Liked: There was a small safe in the room. The location wasn't bad, around 15 min walk to Duomo. The main door to the building, plus the door to the hotel, were locked at night, so it was pretty safe.

Disliked: Disliked: The breakfast was very poor. Just two small packaged croissants, a bit of butter, jam and nutella. Not even bread, only five little toasts for each table. The room was very hot, there was a fan inside at least but it didn't make a huge difference. The bed was a bit soft. The ensuite bathroom was stuffy, humid and kind of smelly, the ventilation system in there wasn't very good.
