Liked: The staff was so friendly and helpfull! The location is also great as it allows you to escape the busy Como and yet access everything easily.

Liked: Great little family run hotel at the top of the hill in lovely little village. Very friendly and helpful staff and lovely brekkie. Definitely recommended.

Disliked: Location, its no where near anything! Right next to the main road so it is very noisy. No Air conditioner and if the cable car is broken like it was when we were there its a rather expenise taxi trip!

Liked: The service was excellent. The gentlemen who checks you in speaks great English, is kind and very helpful! The location is amazing, just one Funicular ride to the top and you get beautiful views of Lake Como and the town.

Disliked: The only thing I think this place could benefit from is a safe in the room. Although Brunate is really safe and I doubt the danger of something getting stolen is slim, for peace of mind, I think a safe would have been a nice feature.

Liked: I would recommend this place to anyone. It´s typical italian. It´s very good and the staff is very friendly. The only one which is not so good is the possibilty to park the car...

Liked: Firstly, this hotel is on the top of a hill, connected to Como by a steep and winding road and by a funicular railway. (We are used to steep and winding mountain roads, but not so narrow and not so populated). So we drove there and left our car for the duration of our stay, and used the funicular railway, which runs about every 30 minutes. This worked well, since we wanted to see Como and to travel on one of the lake boats. The hotel is entirely adequate, nice facilities, superb lake views, free internet access, good breakfast and we suspect good meals. Although we didn't eat there, plenty of locals did. If exercise is your thing, there are some excellent hill walks in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

Liked: Laconda Milano is very lovely hostel located in Brunate. Only few minutes walk to Funiculare station and stunning panoramic view point of Como. Not only the superb location but it also very good restuarant. We had late dinner there and it was fantastic. it was became very impressive finale' last day in our trip.

Liked: This well run hotel and restaurant, with good food and wine, was a pleasure to visit. Away from the centre of Como, the funicular gets you up and down to Brunate and is not only cheap, for me the novelty never wore off, I loved it! We even managed to find the old track down one morning and spent one and a half hours of adventurous exploring, seeing the lake from many different views as we decended. In addition its a meeting place for locals so makes you feel part of the whole laid back Italian lifestyle we particularly envy. Will definitely use again if staying in the area.

Liked: The staff was so friendly, and the included breakfast was amazing. The location in Brunate was very calm and picturesque. I would definitely reccomend this hotel.

Liked: Locanda Milano was lovely, a really nice room in a beautiful little village high above the lake, with extremely friendly staff and a family feel to it. The restaurant is amazing and not too expensive - definitely treat yourself to dinner at the hotel.
