Tenuta dell'Argento

The Tenuta dell'Argento offers each and every guest the possibility to access and participate actively in the local life of the farmers and breeders who live and work in the area.

The 15 guest rooms – 10 of which have sea views and the remaining 5 of which look out across the Mediterranean maquis – have all been furnished in harmony with the surrounding natural environment, using feng shui techniques. Along with furniture made from chestnut hardwood (a very typical local wood), the walls are embellished by natural tones created using eco-friendly lime plaster (just lime, eggs, milk, soil and spices).

The outlooks of the communal areas of the complex encompass everything from untainted prairies to green hillsides, where wild horses and cows are wont to graze. The refurbished complex is complemented by fencing made from wood and fitted together using hand-made nails, so the entire site positively oozes passion for its own origins and traditions, which are all about harmony with nature and the search for absolute tranquillity.

Our restaurant offers traditional specialties as well as typical local food. Every morning, we serve a copious continental breakfast for a good start to the day. The restaurant is closed on Mondays except on holidays.

Accommodation Information

In total, the Tenuta dell’Argento farm-holiday complex features 15 guest rooms, each sleeping between two and four guests, with various accommodation solutions available (double rooms, twin rooms and suites). Each room is separate and has been furnished with great care, combining rustic and country styles.

All of the rooms are en suite and come complete with LCD TV with satellite channels, minibar, tea-making facilities, telephone and adjustable climate-control. The bathrooms, with their apple tones, include wall-hung sanitaryware, hair dryer, large shower area and hydro-shower or hydro-massage tub.

Location Information

A range of activities are available: harvesting the hay, managing the livestock, checking fences and drinking troughs, shoeing the horses and monitoring (on horseback) the number of wild animals living along the Lazio coast.

Moreover, the complex also enables guests to go horse-riding, trekking along the paths of the Tolfa mountains, mountain-biking, roping and much more besides.
