Liked: I would absolutely recommend Hotel Centrale to anyone! The location of the hotel is perfect, the rooms are clean and kept clean every day, the staff is very friendly and speaks English quite well. I've stayed in many places in Italy, but a breakfast as good as Hotel Centrale's is beyond imagination for Italian standards.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: The location was great

Disliked: No free wifi. No hot water for the shower.

Liked: It suited my needs at the time but was not the best room in the hotel.

Disliked: portable air conditioner in the room was a bit too noisy. at least it had something though.

Liked: Fantastic location in the centre of bologna. Great blinds on the windows that totally block out all light :) clean and tidy. impressive selection of pastries at breakfast

Liked: It's location, bathroom and room was very clean, breakfast was excellent.

Liked: The breakfast buffet was incredible! And there was air conditioning in the room.

Disliked: Some of the employees did not speak english very well. Fortunately we could speak a little bit of italian.

Liked: Despite being a fairly small hotel/auberge it has good communal areas - a small bar, another sitting room and a breakfast room, all of which are clean and bright. The staff are pleasant and helpful.

Disliked: My room was a little bit dingy, but considering the price, the city and the very central location, this did not overly disappoint me.

Liked: Right in the centre of Bologna, handy walking distance to anywhere.

Disliked: The hotel was on the third floor of the building, which was fine but wasn't well signposted.

Liked: Nice large room, the beds were very good, large convenient bathroom [invalid facilities!] Breakfast was extremely good, if you have a sweet tooth, otherwise normal good continental breakfast

Liked: The room and bathroom were very clean. Towels and linens were furnished and were also very clean. The beds could have been more comfortable. But overall, it was a good place to crash for the night.

Liked: Fabulously central, very good value cheap hotel. Helpful staff, enormous breakfast, and a beautiful old palazzo, with high decorated ceilings etc.

Disliked: Traffic is a bit noisy if you have the window open, but that's not their fault. If you do what we did - have a huge meal and a bottle of wine beforehand and you'll sleep just fine.

Liked: The breakfast was probably the best I ever had at hotels, even surpassing some 4 star rated hotels. The hotel was easy to access, staff was helpful, knew english reasonably well, beds were good.

Liked: The reception was very professional and updated, and modern elevator was handy. Room was clean, comfortable, spacious, and had A/C. Amenities were better than other hostels in Italy (TV, blow dryer, mini fridge, ensuite bath and shower).

Disliked: It was a little lifeless, didn't see many other travelers but could have been due to season. Reception was professional, but a bit short and not particularly friendly.
