Liked: Quiet and heating in the room.

Disliked: Very disappointed about the guy at the reception desk. The night of our arrival, he was very kind and recommended us an excellent restaurant for dinner. The next night, coming back very tired from Syracusa, no parkplace was available for us, in very bad mood and angry because we did not leave the key at the reception before leaving the morning, a policy we were not aware of. Under pressure to pay right away, and no response to our goodnight wishes. We were happy to leave the next day before he was awake.

Liked: The location is good and the is staff friendly. It is not a 'fun' place - but a good place to sleep before/after you visit the greek tamples. Breakfast is minimal. Rooms are very small and some of them are almost underground for smokers.

Liked: very good location right next to train station down from town. very clean and warm accomodationsthe front desk folks were not helpful to back packers they want to check you in and check you out. i asked about a bus to the ruins in the next town, Selinunte. if they could look up thebus time table on line since it was sunday and everything was closed. they refused and i missed the bus which was early at 6:30am. they should post local bus info and common tourist info for travellers otherwise they are just another hotel.

Liked: Centrally situated in Agrigento - easy access to Valley of the Temples via local bus - just outside hotel. Plenty of local restaurants and one of the best pizza houses (chez jean 2 - via cicerone) in Sicily only 5 minutes walk away. Hotel clean even if plumbing left a bit to be desired!

Liked: The hostel was cheap, the female staff member on the front desk was extremely friendly, helpful and went out of her way to give us directions to places and recommend places to eat. The hostel is literally a 5 minute drive to the Valley of the Temples and a couple of minutes stroll to the old town centre of Agrigento with its many restaurants. However, it is not the most attractive hostel, the shower cubicle was a bit of a nightmare to navigate and it is situated on a busy main road which is part of a confusing one way system (we struggled to find our way to the hostel car park initially - we could see the entrance but found it difficult to drive to it!)
