Liked: The entire staff including owner/manager Nader were so gracious and welcoming that we felt like we and they were family by the time we left. We liked it so well we decided to return for a few more days after a side trip to Egypt. The breakfasts are incredibly wonderful; this is the best hotel for the best value we've ever stayed in and have traveled Asia and Europe and S. America. Highly recommend it to all. Outstanding is the word that comes to mind when we think of Alcazar.

Liked: I wasn't sure what to expect from this place since there were so few reviews on the net, but it was a FANTASTIC deal for the price of the room. Yousef, who works there (what seems like 24-7) was a SUPER friendly guy, always asking us if we wanted tea or coffee (no charge) when we came in & would sit down and chat with us regularly. We stayed there for 2 nights and although the rooms aren't huge, they're fantastic value, including a few satellite TV channels (although only BBC was in English). The hotel was about a 15-20 minute walk from Damascus Gate, but that made it a real quiet place & the view from the rooftop is fantastic as well, especially to watch the sunset! Oh, and the breakfasts were decent with toast & jam, eggs however you like them, hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for value, quality, service, hospitality & friendliness!!!!

Liked: The rooms were very comfortable, with nice heating system: both electric and central ones. Breakfast was fantastic: very complete with eggs and juice, mermelades, different breads. Perfect!! I didn't need to have lunch after that breakfast. The managers and all the staff is great. They treated me as part of their family. They were all the time concerned about my comfort and helping me with some trip bookings in other cities. Just great!!! I'm going to come back to Jerusalem and for sure that I'm going to stay in this hotel
Disliked: Federico left no negative feedback.
