Liked: We stayed in the Maharaja room which had an amazing view over the Ganges. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The rooftop restaurant was a nice bonus.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The rooms and the views were gorgeous, but thats pretty much all you say regarding Hotel Elena. When traveling in India it is a constant struggle for foreigners to not get ripped off, but here right from when you first walk in the door they are trying to sell you over priced trips and under the table deals. They wanted to charge us Rs. 600 for a boat ride for 6 people which should probably cost Rs. 200. Overall, I would not recommend this place to fellow travelers.
