Liked: Nice rooms, great staff. Kind of in a crazy location but near to great shopping and food. Really gives you a good taste of what Delhi is all about.

Liked: Great location, and decent air con rooms. Owner was extremely helpful with anything we needed, and was defenitely there to help rather than to extort, as unfortunately can be the case around Delhi.

Liked: The room was great, not big but just big enough. Quite comfy bed and good airco. When we got into some trouble with some travel agency, the staff and especially the manager was of great help! We got all the advice we needed and even more. Because of that, we felt really safe. Next to that we booked a day tour around Delhi with the hotel, 900 Rupees, bit expensive as it turned out, but it was a great day! We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel!

Disliked: There were no real blankets, only hard ones, but a mummy sheet or something is warm enough. Next to that, the location first feels a bit strange, since it is in a very small alley, but this alley is also safe. Lastly the shower was not warm, but it was OK for this period.

Liked: Everyone who worked there was so friendly and made me feel at home. I never felt threatened for myself or my belongings, either. The location is super central, and it's only a walk or a quick took took to sightseeing. The bottled water prices are reasonable if you don't want to hunt down a stand selling it, and the wireless worked fabulously, even though I was on the third floor. Sure, there might be fancier places, but you are paying for a place to put your head. And you also get a great environment (and free breakfast).

Disliked: The sheets didn't seem clean, and the towel I was given was stained. Otherwise, no issues.

Liked: The staff is very friendly, always in a good mood and even offerig to give you a bigger room the next day, although my small room was just fine.

Liked: Good location. Hot water. The guy who works the travel desk is great. We would stay here again if in Delhi, but pick a cheaper room.

Disliked: 3 things annoyed us. First, we paid for the most expensive room, and only one power outlet worked. Therefore, we weren't able to watch the TV because we had to use the plug to charge our PC and camera batteries, b/c power only works when you're in the room. Second, they offered us a to-go breakfast on our day trip to agra. When we asked for it the next morning, the guy didn't know what we were talking about and didn't seem willing to go grab us anything, so we had no food for the train. Third, the wifi was really inconsistent which was a hassle when trying to do trip planning.

Liked: I like the area, very colorful and representative part of India.

Disliked: The bathroom is really small in room 22, not space at all between the toilet and the sink and there were a lot of bugs on the ceiling of the bathroom. However, when I got back from the 3-days tour, I got a nicer room.

Liked: It was very cheap but I'd stay here if you're desperate for somewhere cheap

Disliked: It was dirty and very noisy. Down a dark alley, in what I was told isn't a nice part of town which made me feel very unsafe. Bed was very uncomfortable and that with the noise meant I only got a few hours sleep. The bathroom was dirty with a freezing shower. Couldn't wait to leave this hotel.

Liked: The location was good and very close to New Delhi train and metro station.

Disliked: The room was never cleaned and three out of four showered were cold. It was very noisy at night.

Liked: Very good localized to have a real India Experience, specially if you don´t have much time. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Free internet access, many tourist around from all over the world. Good price.

Disliked: The sheets had holes. The time for breakfast was late, so I missed it.

Liked: You have to remvember it's India, so don't compare this with Western hostels. By India standards its very good, and I stayed at some hotels while here and The Smyle Inn was better in most aspects! Free wifi in the bedrooms is great, the staff all speak a good amount of English and are helpful and efficient (especially for India!) the airport pickup was reliable, and the free breakfast is great, for the price you pay it's excellent value. Location is brilliant too, just off the main bazaar which is thriving. I also felt safe here, and I was knocked down and robbed by a motorbike during my stay in a different area of Delhi, so the main bazaar street felt safe to me in comparison.

Disliked: It's in a central location so of course it's not completely quiet at night, but again, this is central Delhi, if you're expecting peace and quiet you need to change your expectations or stay out in the countryside! Hot water is always "iffy" in India, if you get hot water it's a treat (even in hotels too), and we didn't have hot water all the time, it was 50/50, but that was ok with me.

Liked: Room was fine and location was near metro.

Disliked: The staff were EXTREMELY UNFRIENDLY. We arrived at 8 am and the website says you can check in if there's rooms available. The doors to the property were locked and no one answered the door for a while then they told us to wait until 10 for our rooms and when we asked about internet they said "It's Sunday so no internet." Were unwilling to try and fix the internet although they were not doing anything better instead. Also I left at 7:30 in the morning and breakfast starts at 8. The manager told me I could only have some juice and bananas not a full breakfast adn when I went down the front desk staff said I could not have anything and the front desk staff were generally extremely rude.

Liked: Fast free wifi, basic but filling free breakfast. Rooms clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Close to metro stations and New Delhi Railway station.

Disliked: My room was on the ground floor right next to reception so was very loud with people coming and going and staff talking at night and early in the morning. Cold at night and only a thin blanket provided.

Liked: Close to new delhi train station and a metro station. Plenty of places to eat in the area.Quiet location as down alleyway. Staff were very helpful and FREE wifi. I would stay here again

Disliked: The walls between rooms like most hotels in India were thin.

Liked: The room was very clean and comfortable. The wifi in the room was very quick and convenient. The bed was comfortable and the room recently renovated.

Disliked: The shower wasn't very hot and it was a bit loud due to the echo of people's voices in the hallway. However, with some earplugs at night this wasn't a problem.

Liked: You can't expect much because it's cheap. But it's worth it. Too bad I wasn't able to have breakfast... The airport pick up and drop off were on time. Overall, if you're looking a place just to spend the night and you're budget's tight, I recommend Smyle Inn.

Disliked: Well, the receptionists sleep on the floor. It was a bit awkward that when I was waking them up because I was checking out.
