Liked: This Hotel is close to a lot of places of interest (walkable, also for people over 70 years , as we are ! ) and aside the 4-star Ambassador Hotel. There are some inexpensive restaurants nearby, like the stadium restaurant (food is o.k. and save!) .

Disliked: Relatively expensive, but hotel prices in Mumbay are higher than in the coutryside.

Liked: The staff were very helpful, we got an upgrade on our room without even asking. The room was spacious and had recently been refurbished so was lovely and clean, Everything worked and there was even a safe in the room which was free of charge to use.

Disliked: The air conditioning unit outlet was situated on the balcony of the room which made it too hot to stand outside as it was already hot outside.

Liked: The staff were very friendly. When we wanted to move to a delux room they were were very helpful.

Disliked: If you can afford it stay in one of the deluxe rooms as the cheap ones are not very nice - a bit like being in a large bathroom, lots of tiles everywhere. The deluxe rooms are not that much more expensive.

Liked: Upon arrival the staff seemed a little less than friendly but I believe much of that was due to my skepticism, it being my first day in India. The following day, they were very friendly and helpful. Mumbai is hands down one of the most expensive places to stay in India and the value for anywhere just isn't there. Given that, the Windsor is in a great location, within a stones through from Marine drive and Churchhill station. If you don't mind walking, you can cover many of the sites on foot: Apollo Bunder, Gateway to India, Taj Hotel, Florence Fountain, Coloba Causeway, Victoria Terminus. I covered all of these on foot in a day.If you're looking for the hostel environment to meet other backpackers, it's unlikely you will find it here but this is a good, quiet, safe, clean place to stay. Liked: i enjoyed the cleanliness of the hotel room, also their helpfulness when it came to pick ups from the airports. they went out of their way to help me and were very professional. the hotel is also situated in a very good area (churchgate).

Liked: At first glance it looks a bit worn out, but once you get a room and see the cleanliness you can't be anything but happy. The staff is extremly helpful and even gave me a room to wash of before depature. No common areas so its hard to find other travellers. I am a female travelling alone and the hotel felt very safe. Location is great and its walking distance to most popular places around Colaba/ Marine Drive. If I ever go back to Mumbai I would stay here.

Liked: The bedroom was of 4 star quality, despite a less impressive entrance and reception. The staff were very friendly and always seeking to be of service. After checking out in the morning and returning late at night to collect baggage to catch a flight, we were offered a very welcome shower.
