Liked: This hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance of the best markets and Gateway to India. The staff are friendly and do their best to help you. The room had recently been redecorated and was a very good condition. The only downside of this hotel is that reception is on the 5th floor, but the lift attendant is always available to give you a ride there! There is not a resturant attatched to this hotel but there are some good places to eat near by, if you are stuck you could always try 'Gaylords' 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Make sure that you take a copy of your booking as they will try and charge you the wrong price. I stayed in a deleux room with could not be faultered. I would recommened this to others.

Liked: The first seeing this hotel is very shocking, but after checked in to the room which was deluxe room was very impressive. The room is really nice and modern. I'll stay here again for the next trip.

Liked: The room we were in, was brand new, so maybe it has helped us to appreciate our stay in this hostel. Be careful, they might increase the prices once it will be all renovated! But I think it really deserves at 3000Rs by night.

Liked: Ask to see a "deluxe" room when you check in, the rates listed here are for the standard rooms. The deluxe rooms are absolutely beautiful, spacious, and include breakfast. Location cannot be beat, surrounded by great restaurants (the hotel even has menu's on hand in case you want to order food to your room from a nearby restaurant, no extra charge), and 2 minutes walking distance to the stunning Marine Drive, Churchgate train station and shopping. I will stay here every time I return to Mumbai, 5 star hotel at a reasonable rate! The staff outside are extremely helpful too, always willing to flag a taxi for you or offer directions.

Liked: Staff were very helpfull. They booked a domestic flight for me as the website would not accept my credit card and gave me lots of information about thengs to see, train travel, best shops etc. Also was very clean. They seemed keen that everything was ok for me.

Liked: Fantastic value for money. Staff extremely friendly without being intrusive and took a genuine interest in travel plans (eg. offered a guide to the nearest train station and gave details of ticket booking [a complete mystery otherwise]). Single deluxe room huge (room 521), view of corner of stadium and backside of Ambassdor hotel (btw NOBODY encountered knew location of this hotel - it is directly at the back of the Ambassador!). Location fab for ambling through to Gateway of India. A really enjoyable and hassle-free stay. Thanks!

Liked: Don't be put off by the outside and the stairwell, once you've gone through the locked door to a wing of rooms you walk into a different world. We stayed in a deluxe room which had recently beenrefurbished, lovely room (can't praise it highly enough) and spotless. I also saw the deluxe shared bathrooms which were also modern, new and spotless. I saw the standard wing and although not quite as marbled and nicely furnished, it was also spotless.
