Disliked: you need to check which amount they are charging you, i didnt to that and needed to pay the full price and not only the difference between the money that i already paid at hostelbookersand the normal price

Liked: WiFi not in the rooms, you have to register and pay. Cleaniness is different - definitly dont look under the bed covers, they havent been changed in years.Hot water is something different.Its really really load, walls are thin.Staff is coming around always even when not asked to.Staff is also not really helpful when u need things, like supermarket or pharmacy on a sunday - the just tell u everything is closed.Wouldnt stay there again, just needed a place to crash spontaneusly.,

Liked: Very safe hostel, and good price for the value of the room - I had a fan, tv, hot water, a western toilet, a bed, and a couch and a table. The noise is all night long, but the location is a bit north of city central, so it's all good.

Liked: Location near Bara Bazaar and only 2 blocks from Metro line. This is very much a middle-class Indian hotel, not a hostel for Western backpackers. The area, is also very much a market area for Indian people, not a tourist area. Very good opportunity to see many aspects of real Kolkata life.

Liked: It was clean and cheap. Staff were efficient but reserved. It was strictly no alcohol and the restaurant was vegetarian.

Liked: Clean, friendly service, good vegetarian restaurant attached, Not in tourist shopping area but interesting nonetheless. Travelled to Sudder St quite easily by underground. First time I stayed 2 nights and got a quiet room. Second time only one night and had a room on the street which was very noisy. Specify quiet room.
