Liked: I liked how they kept the rooms in the old style and how we were able to check in at 6.30pm. The food and staff on the rooftop restaurant were good. The sand dune trip was good.

Disliked: I disliked the fact that I called to arrange a pickup to the hotel from the train station and no-one turned up. After calling the hotel I was informed that I would have to take a taxi, but the manager did meet us in the fort to bring us. Discovered yellow stains on my laundry and our room was never locked properly because we were unaware there was a lock on a high shelf in our room. The manager obtained some private bus tickets claiming it was much more comfortable than train and added a 200 rupees extra charge to a 450 rupees ticket which I discovered later. The bus journey was the coldest, bumpiest trip I have ever experienced!

Liked: It is clean. The staff is helpful. The rooftop restaurant is good. The manager Chimmy is very well mannered and never tried to sell camel safaris to us. The atmosphere was good and we used to go out without bothering to lock our rooms. Nothing was misplaced.

Disliked: It did not live up to our expectation regarding the view.

Liked: Wonderful ambience, you get the opportunity to experience what living in a medieval haveli was like, so it is very memorable. Chimi and his team are helpful and speak good english, the two men serving in the restaurant and helping with luggage are full of fun.

Disliked: the bed and pillows were very hard, and the water was pretty cold.

Liked: - Very friendly and helpful staff. All spoke excellent English - The Mughal suite had a lot of character, the hotel is as old as the Jain Temple! - Very comfortable roof terrace - Staff organised an excellent Camel Trek

Liked: Walking in to our room was like entering Ali Baba's Palace... It completely outdid our expectations and it was our FAVOURITE hostel in India. Our room was sensational - decorated with plush velvet and cushions and with a clean bathroom, it was comfortable and a real pleasure to sleep in. A balcony looked out onto the winding streets of the fort and we had breakfast and dinner on our own private terrace. That was our favourite spot as the views over the jain temple roof were unbeatable, and at night the rooftop bells twinkled as we ate our dinner. Highly reccommended, STAY HERE!

Liked: Perfect Location, Amazing building, the host's family was amazing. Rooms are spacious and clean, and very nicely decorated too. They also organized a free pick up from train station was very helpfull. I also did booked a camel safari with them and was my life time experince "Best I can Say" (Try to book in advance through e-mail). The roof top views was one of the best in Jaisalmer. Overall a highly reccomanded place. Book Ahead.

Liked: Chimmy was the perfect host, very warm and friendly. He arranged a camelsafari when we slept in the desert, wich was magic. The hotel was very special, a wonderful place to stay. We are longing back!
