Liked: Everybody, especially the owner were very helpfull. The place was clean and things worked. Often in India you have to repair the plumping before you can get a shower. But here everything worked, including the mosquito nets. There is a balcony to sit and read on, and comfortable chairs. And when asked for you could have a nice glass to drink of.
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Antonio, the owner was incredibly helpful. When I arrived, he showed me Fort Cochin on his motorbike. Afterwards, he took 1,5h to organize my trip through Kerala with me, helping with hiring a driver, a houseboat and reserving rooms - always at very reasonable rates. He repeatedly called me during my trip, if everything was fine - although he was neither responsible, liable or financially involved in this. He is a very nice person, very helpful and I enjoyed staying there a lot. I can only recommend the hostel - not for the location, but for the service, which has been the best I've experienced all over the world.
Disliked: The location could be better; it is not directly at the waterfront or at the shops and restaurants.

Liked: Clean, presentable, free WIFI that actually WORKS!...reasonable typical egg breakfast for 75 rupees. Basic property, you get what you pay for, so property was priced reasonably
Disliked: No hot water, and not likely to get much since I think it's "solar" powered.

Liked: The helpfullness of the staff was particularly good at this hostel. This meant that my trip ran very smoothly and I was able to go on some trips/tours that they reccommended and organized for me. The breakfast was also really good here: all-in-all it felt like a home from home!
Disliked: Not much, it was perhaps slightly further away from the centre of Fort Cochin than i would have liked, but only a 10 minute walk.

Liked: Nice and quiet place. Nice Indian lady that made breakfast, she didn't speak English though. Good place to chill out.
Disliked: The location was a bit off but it wasn't too far to walk into town. Bad road outside.

Liked: We found this place perfect in order to base our trip around Kerala. The owner wasn't there. This we thought would be ashame as we heard he was really helpful. However, his friend Shaijan is running the place and he more than fills his boots. He's so find and helpful. He helped us organise trips all over Kerala whilst letting us store bags at the hostel and made sure we had a room for the night when coming and going. The family were also extremely nice and the breakfast was wonderful! Defiantly worth the money as you got loads and a new kind of keralan dish every day. The place was also vey clean with all rooms simply but nicely furnished.

Liked: Really friendly staff who help a lot whit every thing - not only whit what they sell.
Disliked: The smallest (the single) room is a bit dark and noisy because the window faces an other building - whit an air con outside. But it is ok and the rest of the house is really nice.

Liked: Antonio & Kristine are a lovely couple, very welcoming and helpful. They would go out of their way to help you with arranging trips and booking tickets etc. The breakfast was awesome and I miss the banana pancakes already. The rooms were probably some of the best and cleanest we had in South India. The city centre in in walking distance and you can easily escape the crowded tourist area in the centre while staying there.I would definitely recommend to stay there. :)
Disliked: Antje left no negative feedback.
