The village of Laugar is located on road # 1 between Lake Mývatn and the town of Akureyri. Coming from Akureyri: drive road # 1 and about 15 km after passing the waterfall “Goðafoss” you will reach Laugar.

The hotel is located on the left side of the main road and features several large white buildings with a red roof. The front desk is located in the building with the Fosshotel flags and next to the small duck pond. There is an excellent new outdoor swimming pool next door to Fosshótel Laugar.
