Fosshotel Skaftafell - our glacier hotel South - offers a restaurant that seats 90-100 people and is divided in two parts. One area is dedicated to groups while the other one offers more tranquility and privacy to the guests ordering „a la carte“. The hotel is very popular for lunch groups and during summer we offer a healthy salad, soup & fish buffet. The hotel has a fully licensed bar on the second floor with an outstanding view over the Vatnajökull glacier.

There is a fully equipped conference facilities at Fosshotel Skaftafell. The conference room can accommodate conventions and private parties for about 50-60 persons.
The lobby features a TV and sitting lounge, internet station and a small gift shop. Free parking available. All guestrooms and restaurant/bar facilities are non-smoking.

With a glacier at the back door and stunning views of Iceland’s highest mountain, Hvannadalshnjukur (2110). Fosshotel Skaftafell could hardly ask for a more spectacular location. This isolated setting directly by the main ring road, some 330 km from Reykjavík, is paradise for nature lovers. Skaftafell National Park is 4 km west with vast expanses of forest and heath kept preserved for centuries. Skaftafell is excellent for hiking and glacier exploring. Many waterfalls are located in the park. The Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon is 57 km east from Fosshótel Skaftafell and known for the fantastically shaped icebergs floating in sky blue water.
