Liked: it was empty so we had the room to ourselves

Disliked: pretty much everything. We have been traveling for the last 5 months and this is one of the worst places we have stayed.

Liked: the owner is extremely friendly and would do everything to make me feel comfortable. he ordered me a cheap shuttle to antigua, very nice.

Disliked: be aware that if you will take a taxi from the bus station, it will cost you around 10 dollars...

Liked: Really clean and cosy. Even the dorms have cable tv:s. The internet is free. Good, free breakfast.

Disliked: Is located in an area far away from the centre, and the buses are quite of a hassle. If you prefer nightlife or eating at restaurants in the evening, this place is not the place to stay.

Liked: very close to the airport

Disliked: the reception staff only speak spanish, for a person with basic spanish it is challenging for daily necessary communication.

Liked: Very close to airport. Kind, helpful staff. Free breakfast.

Disliked: Rooms smelled bad. In bad neighborhood - nothing to do and nowhere close to eat or buy food. Very few other guests.

Liked: Most of all I really liked the staff and the owner of the place who made sure the stay here was a lot of fun and a good experience.

Liked: Hot water in showers is on demand and a little difficult to work. Would not pass code in the states. A bit breezy in January but you would love that later in the year. Very helpful. Very friendly. Hostel feel rather than hotel feel which is what we were after.

Liked: Owner is very helpful and has a vested interest in making your stay (even if short) a good one. Will definitely be staying here for my "night before" the airport.

Liked: It´s a nice place to stay. Good atmosphere and helpful staff. The location is good and safe. However it is important to take into account that it is not located in downtown, but I strongly believe it is an excellent place because it's a safer place to stay at night. Finally, it's really cheapet than other options of accomodation in Guatemala hostels

Liked: The hostel/hotel owner could not have been more hospitable and although I did not get a chance to eat any, delicious meals were upon request, by his mother, who lives next door. The rooms, beds, common areas and bathrooms were very clean and carefully arranged for the convenience of the visitor. Soap, shampoo and a towel were provided on each bed, a rarity at hostels. The triple decker bunks (with railings) in the 12 person dorm were fun for a group of young people traveling together. The rooftop deck with fabulous view of the city and volcanoes is large, comfortable and inviting with 3 or 4 hammocks in a covered area, a barbecue area, tables and chairs. I highly recommend this hostel.
