Liked: This is more like a room in someones home rather than a hostel. The place is very clean and the room was very clean with a nice bathroom. Internet is to slow to use. Close to airport and the owner dropped me at the airport at 5am for no extra charge. A bit expensive though as they don't tell you about the tax

Liked: good atmosphere, friendly stuff

Disliked: they charged much more money than what hostelbookers told me on the reservation mail because they added the local tax. If I look closely, I can find it on the webside, but hostelbookers should tell the people, otherwise they don't really know how high the costs will be.

Liked: This is an outstanding property for location, safety, professionalism, cleanliness and effectiveness in the vast metro area. The owners are unbelievably helpful at all hours, including driving one to the airport at 04h for an early flight. I wish I could have stayed for many more nights. They also arranged an effective tour of the city on short notice . Without Marianna´s I would never have learned the myriad positive features of this otherwise daunting metro agglomeration.

Liked: I would recommend this place if you want to be near the international airport, as they offer a free drive to the airport which is only 2 minutes away. If you want to visit Guatemala City, this is not the place to stay as it is far away. Mariana·s is located in a very safe residential area, so this was a plus as well. The owner phoned for us when we arrived to order a pizza. Very nice people. Cleanliness was more than ok.
