Liked: The location

Disliked: The staff was never available and when they were they were grumpy. The rooms were kind of clean, but not really. The beds were more like cots than actual beds (I STILL have back pain!). And the room smelled of stale, 20 year old smoke, with a broken heater to boot.

Liked: It's clean, and very near to the port where we arrive, so it was very convenient.

Disliked: There was no staff to clear doubts, but in general no big issues, it's a good place to stay...

Liked: Key was waiting, very quiet..off season which turned out great because manager invited me to keep the room until I needed to leave on the late night ferry...such a kind, caring gesture made for a lovely, memorable experience.

Liked: It was really funny, when we arrived at this hostel. Nobody was there, but a message and the room key at the desk at the reception. So you check in for your own. But they have nice rooms and a friendly atmosphere. Especially the 1st floor with all the liitle balcons.

Liked: It had a very nice courtyard which we used to eat breakfast which we obtained from local shops as there was no breakfast available at the 'hotel'.

Liked: Somewhere to stay for the night. It's at the centre of everything in Ermopouli. Wouldn't recommend for more than a night though. The room seemed a little old and creepy.

Liked: We arrived at the Paradise Hotel and were told that our room was in another building. The owner's wife took us to the other building (a 5 minute walk) to a ground floor suite that had bathroom and kitchen. The room also had a television and air conditioning. It was clean and close to the port.

Liked: Only stayed there one night, so my comments may be of limited use but : there was no one to welcome me when i got there (even though it was only 6 pm). They left the key on the counter so I had to show myself in. Did not even know there was internet access, cannot see where it was. However, the location is great. A corner away from the main square and everything else.

Liked: Only hotel I have come across in my life where I checked myself in! Room key and note left on counter. View from porch is spectacular and location cant be beat. No working lobby bathrooms was a minus. Lady owner was polite but not friendly . . .we are used to smiles here in Thailand. Internet on the property would be nice.Your question #6 here should allow a "I DONT KNOW" I have no clue if hostebookers is promoted there or not. I will click NO

Liked: The website accidentally overbooked so when I arrived there was no room - however the owner was SO lovely and already had another place organised for me, bigger and with more facilities but for the same price. It was great - very clean and location fantastic. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

Liked: The rooms in the hostel where practically hotel quality and absolutely spotless. The owners were extremely nice and trusting people and were kind enough to allow us to store out luggage after we checked out. It is located right in the middle of the town and is pretty easy to find on arrival by ferry. Best suited for those who want self-catering i.e. not much facility for eating there.
