Liked: Cheap. Supermarkets, restaurants and the beach all within walking distance. Good pool.

Disliked: Keep in mind how much you're paying to stay here. Place isn't sparkling clean. Not a party hostel at all, and really not a hostel, just a lower hotel room turned into a room with old bunk beds. Note: Perissa is not the Santorini you see in postcards. For more lively action, stay in Fira or Oia. If all you care about is a lazy time at the beach, this will do. Place is about a 20-30 minute bus ride from Fira. When on the bus from another part of the island, be attentive to the bus staff shouting out names of hotels/places to stay. This place is right in front of what seems like a parking lot for 4-wheelers that the place next door rents.

Liked: STAY HERE!!! The value for money is unbelievably good!! We also didn't have to pay prior to the trip (only a deposit) which was an added bonus. Don't expect amazing quality but for what you pay, it's great! The owners (Katerina & John) run the hotel with their son working the quad bike/moped rental shop next to the hotel. All are very friendly and very helpful, showing us sunset spots and places to go for specific activities! They gave us discount at the shop for also staying there. You are a 5 minute walk to the beach, 1 minute to the fresh bakery and very close to all restaurants or bars along the beachfront.

Disliked: Nothing, it was great!

Liked: While rooms are fairly budget, they were clea and comfortable. All facilities are there, ac, hot water, fridge, wifi, cooker, and outside swimming pool. Katerina and John were fantastic hosts, warmhel, pful and reliable. Excellent location, near to beach, restaurants, supermarket, bakery, bike hire and ATM. For the price, super value.

Disliked: The pool was sometimes crowded and could have been a little cleaner.

Liked: It was a cheap stay with the basic necessities, and Perissa beach is very relaxing with friendly locals. The common area in the hotel is very comfortable, with a pool, several lounge chairs and a computer available for free use. There is also a bathroom with shower in the pool area that John allows people who checkout early, but stay late on the island, to use.

Disliked: The dorms and bathroom are pretty dingy, dirty and shocking when you first arrive, but you get what you pay for. The toilet seat doesn't even stay up on its own, so I rarely used the bathroom there. Cleanliness is not exactly a priority here. The owner's living area reflects their stand on cleanliness for the whole hostel.: they are definitely not meat freaks Reception is also quite confusing. Unless you're lucky to find someone around to point you in the right direction, you won't know where to check in. The bus stop is also not clearly indicated on the website, nor on the bus. For future travelers, it's the third or fourth bus stop before getting to the last stop on the Perissa bus, in front of Mark's Bikes. You won't hear anyone say it's the San Antonio stop, so ask the driver when you get on the bus to let you know which one it is. If you're arriving on the 2 or 3 am ferry and are not willing to pay forAn expensive cab ride, get ready to hang out in fira or the port all night because there's no other way to Perissa until 7 am. Luckily, people party till sunrise in that town, there are 24 hour bakeries, and you won't be the only stranded traveller. Greece in general needs to work on late night/early morning transportation options to make a better impression on foreign visitors.

Liked: I loved that there was a pool and air conditioning. After a long day of sightseeing it's nice to come back and relax in a cool room or in the pool. The owner John came and picked us up from the airport and was happy to answer any questions we had. The atmosphere was good here. All the travellers gathered around the pool to chat so it was easy to meet other travellers. The bus stop that goes to Fira and then I to Oia stopped right outside the backpackers.

Disliked: Our kitchen in our room was pretty dirty. We didnt really need to use it which was fine

Liked: Great value for the price, close to the bus stop, grocery and beautiful volcanic beach. Fantastic location.

Disliked: Room was a little stuffy with 8 people and no air conditioning, and there was no kitchen to work with. Also, the water was not potable, but it's not expensive to buy it.

Liked: It was a 15 minute walk from Perissa beach and a bus stop was located just outside the hotel to bring us to other parts of the island. John and Katerina were also very helpful and approachable, with John giving us a lift back to the port when our stay ended.

Disliked: The bathroom was very small and smelled a little weird after the first day
