Liked: Dimitri and Angelo - the guys on the desk and at the bar - are absolute champions! make sure you get a happy hour cocktail made by Angelo. and they can answer all your questions and give recommendations as they did for us. really close to the beach and lots of restaurants and shops within short walk as well as bicycle hire. close enough to the Marina but far enough to be out of the "touristy" area. pool out the back is nice and cool. breakfast spread is good - great authentic greek yoghurt. 24 hour reception and let us store luggage. A/C in the room. extra pillows and blankets in the room and our own balcony. free internet. book exchange in the lobby for a beach read if you forget one! not too far from the main bus station.

Disliked: TINY elevator. bit difficult to find the first time! couldn't take hotel towels to the beach. showers cold after a while in the morning. the grumpy old british couple who complained about noise at 7pm as if it were 1am!

Liked: This place was wonderful! The older lady made me feel so welcome, even if she only spoke broken English and I spoke no Greek. The location is close enough to the city to make it an easy walk, 5-10 minutes, and far enough away that you can sleep very peacefully. The view from the balconies was wonderful. The pool was great and the sun beds, a nice getaway from the rock beaches. And breakfast was just a bonus! Plus, checkout wasn't until noon so you can sleep in until you feel like getting up!

Disliked: absolutely nothing. I'd love to come back and stay again!

Liked: It was exactly what I needed/was looking for. A nice, family run hotel with a beyond friendly staff that was close to the beach. The pool, roof terrace and free breakfast were just a plus.

Disliked: My only suggestion is that the staff put more detailed directions on their booking websites because I had a little bit of trouble locating the hotel.

Liked: The staff are really friendly and helpful. As a backpacker, I was able to afford my own room for a few nights which was a nice change from dorm rooms. My room was clean. The pool is nice. I like the location. All in all, a great place to stay.

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Very Friendly, family run hotel / business. Rooms / hotel were clean and welcoming at an economical price.Hotel was not 'close' to the main town but simple public transport negate this issue in the day. At night, it still was not to far to walk.

Disliked: No WiFi availability, this is a common item in hotels today and should be considered by the owners / operators.

Liked: We loved Everything! What is there to dislike at the Koala where exceptional value for money meets excellent location, high standards, and the most wonderful family welcome, attention and consideration. We would recommend Koala to anyone and everyone who wants to visit Kos. We are definitely going back - and we are relative 'olds'!

Liked: Really an hotel but I must say that the quality and service are worth much more than what one has to pay. A family driven place with interest in the guests and you are always welcome home each time you enter the door. I shall cerainly stay there on my next trip.

Liked: They were friendly, helpful, clean, the location was not too far from the harbour. I felt at home when I returned at the end of the day. Staff members spoke very good English also. The price was great. I will use this "Koala Hotel" .Gulten Argamak 08/28/2006

Liked: Great deal! Spotless, good breakfast (meat and cheese, not only breads), near the centre, only a 20 min walk from the harbour. TV and airconditioning as well.

Liked: Very friendly hostel managers. The hotel is much more worth than its price in terms of facilities, friendliness and neat and clean environment. It also provides calm and quiet environment.
