San Giorgio Villa, the best place to stay in Meteora. San Giorgio Villa is located right in the middle of Meteora whole region and specifically in Kastraki traditional village.

Our Villa's accommodation in Meteora is ideal as the lodge complex consists of 13 full furnitured rooms and apartments right under the forest of San George Mandilas with its little churce in the foothill of the biggest limestone hill of Meteora.

Meteora is a special travel destination in Greece mainland as it is an amazing natural limestone hills complex where nature and humans met one another and built both of them a real natural building wonder by adding fantasy, harmony and true Christianity faith.

From the one side-hand, we have the breathtaking natural and geological phenomenon of many huge monumental limestone-hills with full of erosion signs just next to Pinios river and round a wild green grassland, and on the other hand there is the Christians, cenobites and clerics hard work that have built those picturesque Holy monasteries on the Cliffside of the limestone-hills.
This is Meteora Greece and they are world wide popular just as Agio Oros (Mount Athos) is as well.

Meteora is a name given by Saint Athanasius Meteoritis who was the builder of The “Great Meteoro Monastery” since 1344.

Meteora located just next to kalambaka city in Trikala Prefecture of Thessaly in Greece and it is also in the foothill of Pindos and Hasion mountains.

Now days, there are only six (6) Holy monasteries that are inhabitable from clerics and cenobites , in a total sum of 30 that where full of life since 11th century…
Those 6 Holy monasteries are included within the Unesco List of the best monumental buildings in a world wide region.
