From the Airport:

Living the airport turn left at the junction signed as ‘Hania 14’. The military base is on your left. Bear left with sigh for Souda 7, signed as ‘Suda Bay War Cemetary’. Follow the winding road to Souda, you will see the port on you left. There is a Supermarket on your right hand site and traffic lights. Turn right at the traffic lights and continue for 300 meters. Ignoring the first Rethymno/Heraklion sign, turn left at the Rethymno sign. Continue under the highway bridge. This will take you onto the National Highway towards Rethymno and Heraklion. Continue along the highway (for about 40 kilometres) until you see a sign a sign for old national road. Platanias is the seaside village which Axos Hotel is located.
