Liked: This is the perfect place to spend your holiday in Athens. It is close to EVERYTHING. Even though there are Metro stops every two blocks, I just walked to the center of Athens daily. There are many tour companies and taxi services surrounding the area. The bus is very accessible and the train station is within a couple of blocks. The police station is also located one block from the hotel. We found a church not far from the hotel for Sunday service within the quaint community behind the hotel. There are many cafes and restaurant. The meal we had just a block away was the best in Greek culture as well as a cafe beside Mickey D's at the 2nd turnabout. There is a grocery store located one store in at that same 2nd turnabout in Athens. The staff are helpful, warm, and friendly. They serve FREE breakfast in the morning. There is a locked room for your valuables, bicycle, extra luggage, etc (key is held only by the manager on duty). There is maid service every day if you leave your key at the front desk. I felt safe and welcome at this hotel. The managers spoke many languages including fluent English.

Disliked: very dirty all over place, bathroom in not legal conditions, the room stinks all the time. television does not work properly, sheets and towels dirty

Liked: The room was cheap and they provide a very basic breakfast - cornflakes, milk, coffee/tea, cheese, lunch meat & white break.

Disliked: It's not in a great neighborhood. The streets feel a little sketchy late at night. During my stay I didn't have any trouble, but I also chose not to go out at night.

Liked: Even though I recommended this place to stay, I would suggest you request a room that looks like one of their advertised photos. Location was good to get to town by metro. Breakfast was ample and good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Disliked: There was human hair in the bed and bathroom. our room was nothing like the advertised photos - small and dingy, balcony small and could barely open door to it. The 4 flights of spiral stairs was horrendous to climb. The shower was pokey and completely drenched the bathroom floor. The beds were rock hard, the pillows flat.

Liked: Close to train station but far from centre, about 30min walk.

Disliked: Bathrooms were not cleaned or stocked. Shower was just a room- not very nice.

Liked: BIt of a mix between a hostel and hotel. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm, and only had one room mate. Located 5 min walk from Larissa Metro/Rail. 25 min walk to Acropolis. Area felt safe. Several restaurants in the square 5mins east of the Hostel. Breakfast had cake, toast, cereal, fresh oranges,tea/coffee and ham/cheese. Ok, and served from 0800 to 1000, although it was already out by 0730. A single two slot toaster meant queue for toast though. Staff friendly.

Disliked: No cooking or fridge facilities, so will be problem for those wanting to self cater. Only one shower and one toilet for the rooms using shared facilities on each floor, which I think will be a problem if the hostel is busy.

Liked: While the hostel isn't in the nicest area, the building itself nice and kept very clean. While not located in the heart of the city, the close proximity of the metro to the hostel makes it quite easy to get into the city center. The staff was very friendly. The free breakfast was a nice perk, as were the free computers.

Disliked: The hostel is on a busy street, right next to the main train and bus station. Therefore, it can be a bit noisy at night.

Liked: i would say the best place to stay in Arthens, it includes excellent breakfast which is on the house, free wifi, excellent family runned business.. Lady who owns the place is very warm, kind and helpful.

Disliked: Men in athens are cold, nt really gr8 help but are not bad, just not as good as they should be in the business..

Liked: Compared to the surrounding properties this one looks nice and it is very close to Larissa station

Disliked: It doesnt offer anything more than described on the site. There isn't a printer so you can't print travel info you have to walk around the block to the internet cafe. You can't use the phone without a phone card which you can't buy at the hostel you have to buy from the mini market around the corner (who didnt have any in stock when i was here). And there arent any cooking fascilities.

Liked: The owners are very nice and extremely helpful. It is also very close to the metro and therefore a great staging point to be outside the city, but still have access when desired. Also, its right next to a police station which helps to limit the amount of unsavory characters around.

Disliked: We stayed in the winter and it would take a little while for the heaters to heat up the rooms (room key turned off the heater whilst we were out). Not a large deal, but wasn't as cozy to walk back into when we were coming in from the cold.

Liked: This proper hotel was well staffed and clean. The breakfast included was good. Rooms well appointed.

Disliked: Windows not very sound proof. Could hear every car passing by and every loud conversations.

Liked: Nice breakfast, so much included. Clean, lots of blankets, hot water, good wifi, comfortable beds.

Disliked: The directions to get there aren't very good, you turn left out of Larissa Station and it's a few blocks down the road, past a couple of other hotels and a service station. The man there when I checked in wasn't rude but wasn't very friendly either. The man and woman the next morning were really friendly and helpful though. Also, there was apparently only one key for our room, though the other girl in my room said there were at least 2 the day before because she and another person both had one, but the man when I checked in told me to just share the 1.

Liked: At first I thought the room was not that great, but that's probably because I'm used to more expensive rooms (and the one I booked was 10euros). But it's fine.

Disliked: The only thing about it was there were 3 girls in the room, and 2 keys, so I didn't get a key, but that wasn't a big deal. I just had to knock and leave the key when I go out.

Liked: The room is clean and tidy. The price is incredibly reasonable. You can see the hard work of the owner by the lovely decoration everywhere. The value of this hotel is beyond its price.

Disliked: As the above comments mentioned, not every staff is kind and helpful.

Liked: I really like the breakfast and the facilities, for the price,it was a really good option .The woman working there in the morning is charming and helpful.

Disliked: The man working during the night was rude at the beginning and he didnt have my reservation ,so I had to show it,and he was disliking my presence at the beginning, after, it was ok.

Liked: It was incredibly priced. I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth and decorative atmosphere. It had character and was nicely furnished. I was expecting something bare, blank, boring, average, especially for the price! They also have free internet access and computers you can use for free.

Disliked: Sara left no negative feedback.
