Liked: i found this pleasantly surprising as the reviews were rather garish ,for a hotel in ommonia square in centre it is excellent .love the break fast ,the internet and pristine cleanliness .the taxis drop you in the courtyard and the metro is only 2 blocks away ,its real value for money i stayed 7 days and toured every day too all tour buses pick u up from the sitting room itself and breakfast is served from 630 too .excellent service and ambiant surroundings .all in central athens

Disliked: its in the busy commercial district -which is not what i like

Liked: EVERY review criticized the location. Although it seemed a little creepy (especially the first nights because of all the reviews we had read), nothing happened during our 6 days stay (two girls travelling alone)!! Otherwise, it's very close to the metro and to Syntagma square where the life is! Little shops around and restaurants so very convenient! Staff seemed a little cold at first, but they are very nice and helped us ALOT! Wireless Internet was INCREDIBLY FAST and worked great! We had a problem with the TV and they came to fix it within 2 minutes, not even! We even EXTENDED our stay =)!

Disliked: Found some hair on the washroom floor, it seemed "acceptably clean" but could have been cleaner.

Liked: Good location, near tourist spot and supermarket. Staff is helpful as I had suffered from industry strike of transportation. Nice all-you-can-eat breakfast

Liked: The hostel felt safe and secure. We had no problems, but were very careful at night. Clean and tidy and offered free breakfast.

Liked: Excellent value for money for the quality of the room and breakfast. Friendly staff.

Disliked: Location may be quite central but is in a bit of a grotty, dodgy part of town. Quite obviously the red light district.

Liked: Hotel is value for money and was clean & nice. The ratings above are due to the actual location as opposed to the hotel itself. The hotel suffers from the fact it is located in a red light style district.

Disliked: The location. Though it is well located in Athens and easy to walk to the attractions and around the city it is located on a dodgy street and area. The street was full of prositutes and druggie looking people. The street was always full of sleazy men who just seemed to be sitting and watching. There was a fight in the street one day during our stay. Though once inside the hotel you are safe ands secure I don't believe females traveling by themselves or in a group would feel comfortable walking this street.

Liked: Wifi, clean and large room, good breakfast. This is kind of a big hotel.

Disliked: Location and surrounding circumstances. It seems very dangerous to female travelers. I do not recommend if you are female and alone. But I recommend to group or couples. It's very clean and big hotel.

Liked: Good value for money, clean, well maintained and central to many of the sites and activities in Athens that interested me.

Disliked: The hotel was situated in a disreputable neighborhood, featuring large numbers of junkies, prostitutes and derelicts. I never felt threatened but my daughter did.

Liked: -Breakfast was nice and filling. -Room was great and although I barely spoke to them, the staff seemed very helpful.

Disliked: -I suppose some people would say it was a bad area. There were some prostitutes on a corner nearby that we walked past every day but if that doesn't bother you then you should be fine. Also there were some people hanging at one (of the many) tube station exits. Nothing ever happened but it was the sort of dodgy crowd you avoid walking past if you've got very valuable things on you. We walked past a few times but they just stood there harmless, they were acting quite suspiciously though.

Liked: Breakfast was great, rooms were clean and it was obviously a really nice little hotel that had been a really, really nice hotel about 20 years ago

Disliked: Girlfriend didn't feel very safe in the area at night with the many prostitutes around, though we didn't see any drug-dealing like others seem to have

Liked: Our bed was huge. The staff are very willing to help you and helped us organise a way to get to our next destination and a day tour and find a place not too far for dinner. Wake up calls were on time. There were alot of police on the street as it got later in the evening so that helped us to feel abit safer while walking.

Disliked: I have put that i would recommend the hotel to others but i would not recommend its location. The hotel itself is fine, the location is in the middle of a dodgy area full of dodgy characters. I wouldnt recommend girls on thier own staying here as we did not feel safe walking in the immediate area.

Liked: Breakfast.

Disliked: Rooms are oldfashioned and in the evenings its really noisy, if you have rooms on the street side. Also there is only old fan, wich doesn't give you much refreshment.

Liked: Low cost and included breakfast and wifi. Location is close (within comfortable walking distance) to the major sites, but the surrounding neighborhood is run-down and single travelers may not feel safe walking the area at night. The street remains noisy for much of the night, so some may have a hard time sleeping if noise is a problem.

Disliked: No extra comments

Disliked: Location was ideal for tourist access, however overt drug dealing and prostitution was off putting.
