Liked: cheap price. Lokation in a good quarter

Disliked: The Room had a window only to another room, no ventialtion, and was a smoker room. Water was not really hot.

Liked: The hotel itself is very nice... great location, relatively clean and good value for the money.

Disliked: Despite booking a private double room, the hotel set my girlfriend and me up in a private twin. Not the most terrible situation, but reading other similar negative comments here about this property seems to suggest this hotel is a bit incompetent when it comes to reservations. However, what made the experience negative was the extremely rude receptionist not only unwilling to apologize for the hotel's oversight, but seemed entirely bothered by my requesting to speak with the manager/owner to see if there was some compensation (i.e. free breakfast) available for the oversight. Then, upon checkout, the same receptionist tried to overcharge me, rudely acting as if the 10% deposit paid to Hostelbookers was the website's commission, and I still owed the hotel the full room rate!!!! I didn't get her name but anyone checking in here will know instantly who she is...

Liked: I think that the location was excellent due to being close to Metro and safe to walk to and from at night. Very clean and safe!

Liked: Location

Disliked: Despite reserving a twin room (ensuite) we were given a double room. The staff were rude and entirely unhelpful, saying the hotel was full and there was nothing they could do. When pressed they offered us a twin room with a transparent shower cubicle in the room and no toilet, which was entirely unacceptable. They offered us no reduction for this different room, other than free breakfast. Thankfully we were able to book into a different, much better hotel, for all but the first night but they kicked up a fuss when we told them and treated us abominably. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will never be back. The location is great but the attitude of the staff and their service woeful.

Liked: Location was great. Receptionist was friendly.

Disliked: We booked a double room, but were given a twin. Cleanness was ok, not great. German speaking cleaning lady woke us up at 9:12 in the morning. She came back to knock on our door again around 9:40, even though they say in HostelBookers checkout is at 11.

Liked: Very clean and tastefully decorated room. Beds were very comfortable. My bathroom was new and modern with a giant shower head, and vanity mirror with lights around it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I couldn't believe what a bargain this place was. Only down side is that it's not very sound proof and can be a bit noisy - bring ear plugs! Also was told on arrival that breakfast was included but was then charged. Didn't mind as was a bargain anyway and the breakfast was very nice. This is a hotel not a hostel so if you are looking for fun go elsewhere, if you are looking for somewhere to be comfortable and to get some rest - this is for you!

Liked: Good price for such a central location, but be prepared for _very_ continental breakfasts and, probably, shover in the room + WC outside the room. However, the staff is very helpful.
