Liked: The person at the reception, (who I assumed to be the owner, was extremely kind and even gave me his owner's spot in front of the hotel to park my car for free! The neighbourhood is very interesting with many hip restaurants, bars and shops.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: Hotel Altan has a helpful staff and delivers what it promises. The low prices and perfect location close to Reeperbahn and Schulterblatt makes it perfect for young people who want to sample the Hamburger nightlife. I would consider coming back for another stay.

Disliked: The TV signal was sometimes fuzzy.

Liked: Clean, nice big rooms, location in Sternschanze is close to many good pubs, clubs, and walking distance to Reeperbahn.

Disliked: Staff spoke fairly poor English so werent able to help with much.

Liked: Very nice staf, execelent location and very god standard on thr room.

Disliked: Only thing was that there was no fire-escape from the upper stairs.

Liked: A great environment and enjoyed eating breakfast in the morning sunshine. Nice clean, country air. Ducks and roosters roaming around really add to it.

Disliked: The caravan we stayed in had 2 windows, and both were broken. On a day that was only 26C, it actually made for a very uncomfortable night and early wakeup. It was airless and hot and overall fairly unpleasant. When the weather cooled, it was much better.

Liked: Kind people at the desk. Clean renovated room/furniture (but simple). Location of the hotel. Quiet Room

Liked: It had a cute inn-like feel to it. The room was comfortable and clean.

Disliked: It wasn't in a very good area and wasn't very close to the centre - too far to walk, ok for cycling or on the U-bahn. It was basically a few rooms above a bar so it didn't have a proper reception or many facilities. It wasn't open when we first arrived early in the morning.

Liked: Above a bar and near some good restaurants.

Disliked: The walls were so thin we could hear everything from the room next door. The staff were not helpful, and when we wanted to check out early, there was no one about so we had to just leave our key on a table.

Liked: The location isn´t bad. You can get to the center by foot or by metro. There are a lots of bars close to the hostel.

Disliked: We had a bunk bed for 3 persons. The beds were so loudly that we had to put the matress on the floor. We stayed 3 nights, since our arriving they told us that we couldn´t pay by card because the machine didn´t work. When we get home we saw that they booked 0,01 euro from our card although we never put the card into the machine. We think that the machine was working all the time, but they prefered to be paid in cash. There was no lift and we were on the 3 floor. During our stay they were painting the hall in our floor. The hall is very small and we couldn´t enter in the toilet and the bath room while they were working.
