Liked: It's a very nice hotel, near the train station. It's lovely decorated, it will make you feel like you are on your grandma's house. Beware that it's frequented mainly by senior people. If you want to enjoy a quite and warm stay, this is definitely a good place.

Liked: A jewel. Immaculately maintained,cleaned, refurbished, and staffed by proprietors with a true sense of ownership. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough.

Disliked: Possibility of poor sound isolation between rooms, though not a problem for my stay

Liked: 4 person room was a little cramped. Shower did not allow a normal sized adult to stand upright, but it was acceptable. Internet was downstairs only, and was flakey. Would have liked internet access in room.

Liked: Room size was great as was breakfast. Member of staff who did breakfast duty was lovely and friendly. Lounge area was a nice place to sit. Tea and coffee facilities in room would be a major asset. Feather pillows were a problem due to allergies.

Liked: The breakfast was amazing. And the manager was concerned that the bed would not be big enough for one of the people in our party (they were bunk beds), so he provided a second room at no additional cost. Also, the late arrival was no problem.

Liked: The beds are the most comfortable of any bed I slept on in Europe. This place was like a eutopian country cottage. Breakfast is included in your night´s stay, and the staff was very helpful. Garmisch is far from a party town, but if you´re in the area, don´t pass this one up!
