Liked: Our room was tidy, spacious enough and cute, cleaned everyday!! Very sweet. We had an ensuite bathroom and all was their what we needed even a hairdryer. The owner and people in the hotel have been very friendly, welcoming and doing anything to make us feel like home. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Better than in some 5 star hotel, with delicious food for every taste and habit. From pineapple to vegetables, to fresh bread and yoghurt.. just to begin with something..Thank you very much for all! We`d recommend this place to everyone looking for a cosy stay with easy and quick access to the main train station and all public transport, shopping ect...

Disliked: Despite all the comfort we felt, the place might need some refreshments in the building itself. Some interior seemed kinda used since ages. We had a strange smell coming from our bathroom and some mould on our wall. Our room in the 4th floor, without an elevator. Some lovely details in design, some plants, simply some young spirit was missing. The area of Düsseldorf where the hotel is, was a little unpleasant and strange at night times. This is not the old city with its nice buildings and charming atmosphere of course. - Great value for the money though!

Liked: Not a place to stay if you've got luggage - no elevator and you won't get a room on the first or second floor as they're owned by the family. No help taking bags upstairs. Not close to old town or train station - old town was a 25 mins walk through empty streets, train station was at least 15 mins. Staff were no help with sights. Breakfast was standdard - cereal, bread, cheese, cold meat. Would not recommend to anyone.
