Liked: great location, great city, very helpful staff let us into our room early after an overnight trip . Clean comfortable beds. All night bar! but not noisy. lots of good local restaurants. trams into town, but a taxi only 9 euros- between 4 not bad. This hostel has a lift to all floors except top, but 1 flight not bad. would highly recommend

Liked: For 21 euro a night it was a great deal. The shared shower and bathroom were clean and directly across from my room. The bed was comfortable and the room was a decent size. Staff at the desk 24/7 was helpful.

Disliked: Horrible location. It took me forever to get into the centre of the city by transit and the neighborhood is quite uncomfortable to walk around at night. I ended up only staying 2 instead of 3 nights and switched to a better place more in the city.

Disliked: Room not too big, carpet on the floor ( not so good ), kind of old but ok, not so funny, a bit far from the center but close to and S-bahn

Liked: a bit out of main town of cologne but easy enough to get there on S-bahn. Very cheap, basic and clean accommodation.

Disliked: Showers require a walk up to 5th floor though. WiFi was exceptionally weak and could not be accessed in room.

Liked: It was located conveniently to the train station and there was plenty of shops on the street where it was located.

Disliked: the rooms got a little noisy at night. couldn't leave my windows open.

Liked: The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and we felt we got good value for money. The accommodation is fairly basic, however the beds were comfortable, the room secure and the bathroom clean. We particularly liked the token gummi bears on our pillows! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a cheap, basic place to sleep while visiting Cologne.

Disliked: The decor was perhaps not to everyone's taste, but considering value for money this really wasn't an issue. We did also have some difficulties finding the hotel.

Liked: wewere really surprised that a hotel can be this cheap. since cologne is not a big city, it cant be far from the center even it is on the other side of the river. we booked a small room with a double bed, it was perfect for this money. the receptionists (we met a new one every day) were very friendly and helpful. the only problem was that they wanted to clean the room every day but we put out the do not disturb sign so it was okay then :) i would really recommend it if you stay in cologne for a few days with your girlfriend/boyfriend. i dont really get the bad comments

Disliked: it was hard to find food at night near the hotel - but there was a kiosk with a frienly guy who made us hotdogs

Liked: Close to rail and underground stations, easy short-term on-street parking. Didn't like the cigarette stink in the room; apparent plumbing problem (toilet cistern constantly filling); TV kept losing reception on all channels; general dated 1970s feel of carpets, bathroom etc.

Liked: Nothing, it has no redeeming features. The matress pratically consisted of springs with a sheet wrapped round them. I'm not kidding, you could feel the springs digging into your every time you moved (I even took photos, they were that bad). The room I had didn't have a shower so it was a walk to another floor where you greeted by a disgusting bath with cracked enamel. peeling paint, a missing shower head and no shower curtain. The sign saying 'leave the room in the condition you found it' was cause for much hilarity.The breakfast was practically inedible. The milk was long life and tasted like it had just expired. There were a couple of soggy lettuce leaves, and some bread which was old and going hard around the edges.The hotel was dire. Really, do yourself a favour, pay an extra couple of Euros and go somewhere you won't bitterly regret
