Liked: Very friendly staff in spite of the language barrier. We had a great time, and they even prepared breakfast for us early at 6.30am when we had to leave early. Great atmosphere, and wonderful balcony view of tide coming in and out. Location is not ideal, but once you figure out the bus system there isn't a problem.

Disliked: We walked to get there initially, which was a bit of a pain but we should have caught a bus.

Liked: We hadden een kamer met balkon met uitzicht op het strand, echt geweldig.

Disliked: De parkeergelegenheid is waardeloos, er is geen eigen parkeergelegenheid voor hotelgasten, je moet ze dus delen. En met zoveel toeristen en badgasten is het moeilijk een plekje te vinden. 1x stonden we 10 minuten van het hotel af.

Liked: The location was great -- I loved getting away from the crowds within the town walls and the 30 min walk along the beach was just gorgeous. I arrived on the late ferry from Poole and even at 10 pm had no trouble getting to the hotel by foot. There are plenty of places to eat/drink or shop for groceries nearby if you're too tired to venture into town again at the end of the day. There was a huge window that offered a beautiful view of the sea (with only a little craning of the neck.)

Disliked: I booked one of the rooms with just toilet and sink -- I do wish it had been made clear at the time of booking that the shower was two floors down. That was a bit inconvenient. Plus, there was no proper electrical power outlet that was easily accessible so I had to run down to the shower room to use my hair dryer as well. I finally figured out that the electrical outlet on the side of the light above the mirror could be used to recharge my phone and camera battery, which was a relief. There was a power outlet high up above the closet that wasn't reachable even by standing on the bed -- that may be why noone had plugged the TV in so I had no telly to watch either. Ultimately, I paid less than 50 Euro a night to stay in a room with a view of the sea at the height of the summer season so I can't say that it was bad value at all, but if I ever went back, I'd pay more for a better room.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and helpful although they didn't speak much English. The hotel is right on the beach, you couldn't be any closer.

Disliked: The room was small and there was a street light right outside the window so it was really bright all night, even when it was dark out, breakfast was pretty expensive as well, 8 euros for not much.

Disliked: Farfar away from intra muros Small rooms, the double could not fit two people, cant even shut the loo door Not a double bed but a large single bed, but good for one person

Liked: The hotel is very nice and the people were kind enough. Love the location but it was a little far from all the important things.

Liked: Good clean rooms, with a decent bathroom, especially for the price paid.

Disliked: Thin walls, and tv remote had no batteries - though flat screen tv!

Liked: Great location at the beach, bakery nearby, flatscreen TV, hot shower.

Disliked: Thin walls, noisy. Very outdated, worn-down carpet. Very small room. Dirty corners in the bathroom, dirty curtains...

Liked: Right on the beach, very nice staff

Disliked: I don't need a big room to be happy or anything but our was tiny and made it hard to unpack our stuff (backpackers). A little far from the old town but the bus station that takes you there is right across the street. Room wasn't dirty but could have been a bit cleaner, just sandy floors a bit from all the beach goers.

Liked: Breakfast was OK and location was excellent for the beach

Disliked: Booked a family room but was given two seperate rooms. Decor very old giving a musty feel and smell. Carpet on stairs and hallway off putting. One room had toilet seat unattached. Money spent on flat screen TV's could have been spent better elsewhere.

Liked: it had a good shower, and comfortable bed. Parking available nearby on the streets. When the tide was in you can't walk along the path into town, but when you can it's a lovely walk along the seaside.

Disliked: it's just your average kinda hotel. About a 30min walk into town at a fair pace, may have to park one or two blocks away from hotel. Fine enough when you're only there to crash into bed late at night and go again early next morning.

Liked: Staff very helpful. The hostel is very near to the beach, but over half an hour from old city. It could be an advantage, but not for every one :). Views from windows are great! Beach is great as well!!

Liked: Spacious rooms and cheery owners. Right by the beach and only 2km from the old town... good for walking off all the culinary excesses.

Liked: clarisse was very helpful and bless her nearly had heart attack when my youngest's balloon popped behind her. We arrived really early but was allowed to leave our luggage so that we could go and explore the old town. We enjoyed the walk although quite a way from the port if with kids. Nice friendly hotel.

Liked: staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, can speak at lest 3 languages (German, french and English), had a good breakfast, the location is right next to the beach, its is very relaxed and friendly and I would advise any friends to go
