Liked: Very close to St Charles Gare Station and the main shopping district in Marseille.

Disliked: The air-conditioner is not working, the carpet is dirty, the room smells bad, and there is only one hair blowdryer in the hotel to share among the rooms.

Liked: It was clean and good quality. The bathtub was a very nice extra.

Disliked: The final bill was 150 euros more than was originally said/written, the cost of room was a lot more than was promised, and no one said that the breakfast cost (and it cost a lot). The cleaner had packed my luggage and moved it into a closet. She had touched and moved my other goods too around the room. It did not please me. My belongings were not at sixes and sevens, they did not need to be touched and moved.

Liked: Comfortable, close to the city, very clean

Disliked: we had problems with the receptionist at check-out, and breakfast was expensive but they made it sound like it was free

Liked: Excellent location, close to railway station and vieux port. Excellent breakfast!!

Disliked: Ceiling was in very poor state, sagging and stained; carpets very worn out, generally room was in poor state, but worst of all room smelt like an ashtray; all my clothes, hair etc took on smell, was only mitigated by opening the window but was very noisy outside.

Liked: Thank you for upgrading me to a superior room. It is very close to the Gare. If you are backpackers and srong enough, I would like to advise you to walk to the hotel directly, it only takes 5 to 8 minutes.

Liked: it was not far from the station and they offered free internet access

Disliked: the cleaners did not clean the rooms at all, hey just changed the bins and the linen was not changed despite us removing it from the bed and puting it on the floor..the cleaners just put it back on the bed and reception were very rude about giving us new linen and we had to keep insisting to before they would give us any.....

Liked: Some of the staff were nice, some were not. But I left some clothes behind and they mailed them to me in the US. Also, it's relatively cheap. There's a nice breakfast buffet, but it's 9 euros.

Disliked: The actual rooms are kind of crappy--poorly ventilated, yukky carpets. And their refusal to turn on the air conditioning was a major flaw.

Liked: The lift was out of order at the time of my stay ( had been for a week so I'm told). Flies in room, no bar refrigerator in room ( common in europe?). Good WIFI access in reception. Dodgy part of town at night.
